Basil Harrington, MD, is a family medicine doctor with nearly four decades of experience at Bossier Family Medicine, LLC. He sees male and female patients of all ages at the North and South Bossier locations in Bossier City, Louisiana. Growing up, Dr. Harrington attended Parkway High School in Bossier City, just a few steps away from where his father served as a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force (USAF) at Barksdale Air Force base. Dr. Harrington was in the accelerated medicine program at Louisiana State University in Shreveport and the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed a psychiatry residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, in 1985 before returning to Louisiana to practice medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Harrington enjoys music, good food, race car driving, and sports. He can often be found rooting for the Tigers or Saints or spending time with his wife of 35 years and their children and grandchildren.
