I am not one to complain but after my experience with Davids Bridal in Shreveport I felt that I should let people know I do not recommend this place and my reasons behind it. I had found THE dress at Davids Bridal in Shreveport but it wasn't my size. I then talked to the manager and she told me she called around and that this was the only dress left in the whole US. I then talked to the alterations department lady and she told me she could take out the dress on the sides to make it fit me. I was so thrilled to hear this news. After alterations and hemming I took my dress home & hung it up on a hanger & that's when I saw what THEY did to my dress. The alterations department didn't make my dress all one length, it was so choppy. I then took it to Davids Bridal in Tyler and the alterations department lady there said the dress was RUINED. I just started crying because I thought I would have to find another dress. The manager came in and told me she had found 8 dresses that were the same exact dress. I asked her how is that possible because Davids Bridal in Shreveport told me I had the last dress in the US. After hearing this it all made sense, they lied to me to make me pay more money to make the dress fit me even though one of the 8 dresses the manager found, one of them was my size. Davids Bridal in Shreveport will lie to you to get more money out of you and won't make your dress all one length. Thank you Davids Bridal in Tyler for helping me get a new dress.
Super long story but: I have had nothing but good experiences at this David's Bridal, went to the one in Longveiw, Tx area and they didn't let me look at dresses because I did not have an appointment. woops, but still they could have been a little more helpful, I was in from out of town.
I did not set up an appointment with the Bossier David's Bridal, but they helped me as well as if I did, everyone in there was super helpful. I did not find my dress at the store, so I ended up having one made, went back to this store to get the under skirt, the same girl who helped me the first time recognized me, that was impressive. then when getting my dress dry cleaned (not at this place another) my dress got ruined and I needed to look for a back up dress just in case it wasn't fixable. went back here, the same girl that helped me the two previous times recognized me again and knew something was wrong. They helped me find a backup.
When we arrive at David's Bridal in Bossier City the front desk lady was very rude and does not have a lot if patient. She never gets up, she just sit there. To be she needs a slower pace job. And especially work in that attitude. Second I believe her daughter is s manager there because I over heard I've if the bridal consultant talking about it. I guess that's why she can treat customers like that. So how did it end me and my family left and I found my dream dress somewhere else. Thanks David's Bridal for showing your true colors at the beginning..
It all started when I found the PERFECT dress online. it was everything I had ever wanted, and better than that, It was on sale. So I called the David's Bridal in Tyler, Texas and they said there was only one dress left and I needed to rush to get it because it would be unable to be ordered. So, I rush up there that weekend, which is about 2 and a half hours away from where I live, and The dress was perfect, but too big so they ordered me another one. My girls also picked out their dresses on that day, and our sales woman, Ashley Gibson, was not only incredibly helpful and dedicated to our large group, but very friendly and a joy to be around. So i get the dress in the mail, and I end up needing to go to the David's Bridal in Shreveport, which is almost three hours from where I live, and low and behold, the WHITE dress that I had ordered came in IVORY. So, that was okay. I just left that dress there and they re ordered me a white dress. So, about 3 weeks later I go up to Shreveport again and get altered and everything. I had a modesty panel placed in because the cleavage shown made me very uncomfortable. I specifically showed them how I wished the Modesty panel to be, because if it was the other way it would be obviously an add on. So I leave, and about a month later I go back and The Modesty Panel was put on the opposite of how I asked, and very high up my neck. It stood out very badly and was obviously an add on, So what else could I do but let them fix it again and I drive up there AGAIN. So I talked to the manager and she said that she would immediately go right to the back and email the corporate office. So, she called me on Monday, and said that corporate cleared that I could receive 20% back on my alterations, which would end up being approximately $31.00. Which, I was unhappy about because that is not a tank of gas and I had made three unnecessary trips to Shreveport, LA. Which, again, was about 3 hours away from me. But, I accepted it. So, we went there today, July 1, 2012 to see the dress, and it was perfect. everything was fixed and I was very happy! So, as we were leaving I went to the front desk to get the 20% back like Dawn had told me to over the phone and after standing at the register for about 7 minutes (holding a very heavy dress), the sales lady told me "the register wouldn't let her give me the 20% back and she could give me $2.80 less or she could try to find some way to scrape it up." The tone of her voice made it obvious that she did not want to try to find a way to get the extra money and she made me feel that if I said that I did want it, I would be the biggest cheapskate in the world. So i told her that was fine, simply to get the heck out of the store and not have anything to do with David's Bridal again.

I am relatively new to the area and soon to be a bride. My first stop for looking for wedding dresses was here. I walked in and no one seemed to care I was there, I didn?t feel special at all. I didn?t feel that any of the employees there were interested in helping me find the perfect gown. I was left to make all my own selections and then I was left to dress myself. It was not a fun experience and I will not recommend.
