I have moved many times over my twenty years of military service! This was absolutely, hands down, the WORST company I've ever encountered. Packers showed up when they felt like it and left promptly by 4:30. Truck never showed, despite Action telling the movers it would be there and to put all of my belongings outside. The majority of my items were ruined as a result due to a downpour. Manager (Marcus) showed, not to apologize for my losses due to his disorganization, but to boss people around and ensure that his crew did nothing to help the movers alleviate the situation in any way!!! Finally showed with a trailer at 2 pm (told they'd be there at 8 am). Then I was told my things will be sitting on their trailer in 100 degree temps for the next 4 days when it will all be transferred onto ANOTHER truck!!! Im not anticipating many things making it intact after my experiences with them thus far. IF YOU ARE TOLD THAT ACTION MOBILITY via Denali Group, ARE YOUR MOVING PROVIDERS, CALL AND REQUEST AN ALTERNATE!!!!!!Update: were just informed that our things STILL haven’t been transferred to the truck!!!!05/30 update: called Action Mobility to check on the status of my truck that was rescheduled for today (yet again). The response was “we will not talk to you. And you better watch what you put on Facebook, before you find yourself in trouble.” So, not only are they unprofessional and immoral. Now they are going as far as intimidation. And....they are in possession of my entire household and know my addresses......STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!

As a full truckload carrier, it is difficult at times for us to find a reliable company with lift gate service to assist us in unloading pianos that we haul for our customer in California. I have to saythat my experience with TJ's was great. They are very friendly, helpful, and they were on time. The shipment was delivered without any incident or issues. If I ever have the opportunity to utilize their services again, I definitely will.

Bruce and his men did a fantastic job moving me locally in Shreveport. Very professional and very careful. Fairly large home. They don't waste any time, and they are serious about their job. Bruce even came by at a later time when I called him to help me with a little problem I was having with my washer install. I highly recommend using them. I know I will if I move again.

I am astonished to find any negative comments about this company. I have used them 2Xs so far & getting ready to use them again. When one piece of furniture broke during my 1st move they not only repaired it quickly, they even repaired a part that was not damaged by them & made the entire thing look new again.
EXCEPTIONAL in every aspect! We have utilized Apartment and Household Movers twice in the last few weeks and they were absolutely exceptional. We have used a lot of movers over the past 34 years with both domestic and international moves and Bruce and his guys were by far the very best!The first time we utilized Bruce was moving our household belongings into our new home. We have some very old items - great grandparent handmade type items and the tremendous care and professionalism they used to ensure that there wasn't a single scratch, ding or anything else was fantastic. They also made sure there wasn't any type of damage to our new home - the walls, steps, wood floors - anything. Bruce and his guys were some of the nicest individuals I have met and after some of the nightmare experiences of some movers with us moving all over the world, a very welcome and wonderful experience. They were on schedule, did what they said they were going to do, helped us out with items - I could not be happier. After the fantastic experience we had with the move in, when it came time to move a large number of items of personal belongings to a family member in Natchez, Mississippi from Shreveport, Bruce was the only company I called. They arrived on time, were extremely efficient getting everything loaded and carefully wrapped very fragile wood items and items of glass. They drove to Natchez and the report from our family members were they had never seen a moving company and individuals as great as Bruce and his guys. They again took great care with all of the items, got everything moved in with no damage - with some items having to go up a tight staircase to the second floor and exhibited the highest integrity with our family members. They too were absolutely thrilled with all aspects of their move in of items. It was a true privilege to have gotten to meet Bruce and work with such a true professional. I highly, highly recommend utilizing him for any moving services you may need. He would be the only person I would call in the Shreveport Bossier area!

Long-distance moves are much more complicated to plan, typically requiring you to pay numerous extra expenses for everything from shipping items to renting storage space.

Look for Reviews and Recommendations
When hiring movers, it's a good idea to both look at reviews online and ask your friends and family members for recommendations. Personal endorsements will go a long way toward helping you determine whether you can expect the company to do a quick and professional job.

All interstate moving companies must be registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, so call 888-368-7238 to confirm the licenses, insurance and credentials of the movers you're considering. The FMCSA can also tell you if any complaints have been filed against a particular moving company.
Check with the American Moving and Storage Association
For both local and long-distance moving companies, AMSA is another good place to check out a company's legitimacy. Moving companies aren't required to be an AMSA member, but the ones that are have committed to the association's rules and regulations, which protect both the companies and the consumers hiring them. If a company isn't an AMSA member, that doesn't mean it isn't reputable, but an AMSA membership is a clear indication of legitimacy.

If you have items that are emotionally or financially valuable to you, do your best to pack and move them yourself. Keep jewelry, expensive artwork, inherited valuables and even costly electronics in your own car - that way you'll have complete control over their safety at all times.
Choose a Moving Company That Plans Ahead
Moving companies can better keep your belongings safe when the movers plan ahead. What does this mean? Many companies take extra time to measure doorways, halls and stairways to find the safest route in and out of your home. They should also provide furniture blankets, covers and moving pads to keep both your home and your belongings free of scratches or other damage.
Keep the Moving Area Safe
There are some things you can control on moving day and some things you simply can't, such as the weather. If you're moving on a snowy, icy or rainy day, keeping all of your paths, stairways and walkways clear and dry is crucial. This can help protect both the movers and the large items they're carrying to and from the truck.
The subject of tipping is relatively unclear when it comes to movers. However, there is a general rule of thumb that most people in the industry agree on: Tip your movers if they've done a good job and you think a tip is warranted.
Generally, a 5 percent tip is considered appropriate, though some people recommend paying $20 per day, per mover for basic, local moves. However, almost everyone agrees you should first do a quick walk-through of your home to check for any damage to your furniture or belongings and to make sure everything is where you'd like it to be.
If you do decide to give a tip, divide it evenly and give money to each individual, rather than giving the entire sum to the head mover and expecting it to be doled out equally. One type of tip to avoid: alcohol. It's usually illegal for movers to have bottles of alcohol in the truck or van, so tipping a bottle of wine or liquor could get them into trouble.
