I purchased my dress at Storybook Weddings in September 2010; no problems. When my dress came in April 2011, the owner Vicki gave me the phone number of a Wanda Kadix, a seamstress that could do my alterations for a reasonable price. I called Wanda several times, left 2 voicemails, and never got a call back. I emailed Vicki about the issue and wanted to pick up my dress so that I could take it to another seamstress but the owner insisted that Wanda was just busy so Vicki personally made an appointment for August 6th to meet with the seamstress at the store. On the day of my appointment, the seamstress showed up an hour late because she either forgot or was unaware of the appointment. The owner, when she decided to come back from breakfast, disappeared into her office for my entire waiting period and 15 minute appointment once the seamstress showed up. Neither one apologized for the delay or offered any sort of explanation. The owner was too busy talking to her ex-husband in her office to give me any sort of customer service. On August 19th, I emailed both ladies detailing my dissatisfaction and asking for my alterations to be taken care of by one or either of them before my August 27th appointment. After a few days, the owner contacted me and said that she was "severing our relationship" and that I could pick up my dress at the store anytime. The seamstress had 3 weeks with my dress and didn't make any alterations! I called the owner to ask why she was doing this and she said, "we like happy brides" and basically told me that my alterations would not be done in her store and they would not take ownership for the mistakes or lack of customer service. I will never recommend that store or Wanda to any bride or wedding party member. I've also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I was so upset! How much more offensive could a veteran wedding retail specialist be?

Worst service I've ever had: This company was awful. I ordered all of my wedding things through them august of '05 and it is now June of '08 and it is still not worked out. The tuxes did not come in until the day of the wedding and they were ripped and stained. The tux shoes were lost and none of them matched or were what we payed for. They charged 50% for all there merchandise and then have you pay the other 50% when it comes in but don't tell you that on your initial purchase. They yelled at my bridesmaid that I owed money, but never told me, and when I asked they could not give me an exact amount of what I owed. The workers were high school girls who had no clue what was going on. We made appointments for fitting tuxes three days before the wedding (as was advised by them) yet the tuxes were not in. We were constantly ignored even though we made appointments. HORRIBLE customer service. DO NOT SHOP HERE. It will ruin your wedding day, trust me. It did mine.
