General Info
We protect, preserve and promote healthy, sustainable, native vegetation in both forest and rangeland. We dedicate ourselves to protecting the overall health of your property by using integrated weed management and best management practices to successfully preserve native vegetation.
A noxious weed is the nationwide designation used to identify unwanted plants that are not native or exotic to a landscape. Noxious weeds have the ability to propagate in new, non-native climates such as Montana because they are adaptive and once they are established they will out-compete native vegetation and take over. Noxious weeds cause detrimental effects on the environment: * Disrupt Native Vegetation * Lower Biodiversity * Lower Forage Potential * Cause Soil Runoff and Streamside Erosion Where do noxious weeds come from? Most commonly, noxious weeds come from Europe and Asia. They do not pose a problem in their native country because environmental factors such as moisture, aridity, soil composition, sunlight and competition of other naturally cohabitating plants and organisms prevent these weeds from developing invasive monocultures.

I am not a customer of WMA however I was fortunate enough to know and work with Will Andrews from 2004-2008. Together we worked on multiple forest and rangeland improvement projects and when I came across the opportunity to post a review I felt the people deserved to know...Will is one of the most honest, knowledgable, and reliable persons that I have ever known. I currently work in the vegetation management field and work amongst a wealth of knowledge and experience. However, Will is my go to guy for answers concerning vegetation management. We all seek good results with good customer service and I assure you will not be dissapointed with Will Andrews and WMA Specialists.

Will from WMA is very knowledgable on all facets of invasive, exotic, and non-native plant identification and control. WMA is very professional and ensure the job will be done the right way. He also takes the time to educate landowners on the importance of controlling weeds, especially in the Bitterroot Valley. As someone who works closely with the federal government in land restoration, WMA's services and knowledge base are off-the-chart. I would highly recommend them not only in vegetation management, but overall rangeland and ecosystem restoration planning.

Will from WMA specialists sprayed 5 acres for me last summer. Within a month or less I had noticed a difference in my property and a decrease in the amount of weeds present. The real surprise has been this spring though. There is virtually no evidence of the knapweed that covered my pasture and hill behind my house, and the native grasses seem to be growing more than I have seen in past 7 years I have owned the land. I am very pleased with the aesthetic improvement to my land, and feel better about doing my part to reduce the noxious weeds in the area. Thanks for the vast improvement to my property and for the follow up visit this spring!! I would galdly recommend WMA Specialists to friends.

As a customer of WMA Noxious Weed/ Range Specialists, I was extremely pleased with the end product provided to my lands which were in critical need of noxious weed management. The knowledge the Specialists shared with me on invasive weeds of Western Montana was impressive and extremely evident during the initial site visits and throughout the application and subsequent visits. I was also excited to learn of and see the many years of experience and professionalism that this company possesses and the best management practices that they adhere to. I am an employee of the federal government and know first hand the importance of and the responsibility we all share to manage noxious and invasive weeds. I was delighted to see this company from the private sector reaching out to provide this quality service to our community and would highly recommend their expertise.
