We are new to the area and Niles Clark had been recommended by a friend. The accountant was friendly, and I left from our initial meeting feeling like things were in good hands. However, when I returned to get my packet, things turned out differently. I got home and a few days later checked the packet they had given me and found the cover letter matched, but the W-2 and tax information belonged to a different client. I let them know that I had someone else's information and asked if someone else had mine. The receptionist I spoke with called the other client, but then didn't pursue it further. I returned the other client's information, but still don't know if someone else has my tax information.I mentioned that I wasn't comfortable with someone else possibly having my social, tax information, etc., and receiving someone else's information hurt the confidence I had in the company's confidentiality. I got an apology from the receptionist, which felt more like a brush off, and never heard back from the accountant about that issue or a question I had about my taxes.
