Excellent service, recommend to all new employee s
This is a great bank with good old fashion customer service values. When I make a deposit I don't have to do anything but hand them my check. No filling out silly slips and having to know my account number. I feel like Norm on Cheers when I go in as everyone knows my name. I am a hard customer for banks as I am a hard person to please and have tried many banks in the valley, such as BofA, Key Bank, Wells Fargo, Washington Trust, ICCU, just to name a few and can say that Washington Federal is the best I have worked with.
Horrible service! Literally every time I go there I have to wait 15 minutes to be helped and there's one person in front of me!! This bank makes me so frustrated
Two thumbs down. Terrible customer service and shady dealings. All happened after the merger. They've got the "we don't care, we don't have to" attitude.
This is my go to branch when I'm downtown. In the last few years they have been adding a number of locations around the Boise/Meridian/Nampa area which I appreciate due to the fact that I'm traveling around the area and never know where I am going to be. Great and friendly staff.
Worst mortgage experience of my life, absolutely incompetent and uncaring. Mountain America Credit Union was ready to close on property X when the buyer lost his job, Property X goes back on the market. I come in and want to buy property X and want to use Mountain America Credit Union since they should be ready to close. After I jump through the billions of mortgage hoops you have to jump though now, I am all set, closing Friday November 14th. Since my loan officer wasn't able to complete simple paperwork in time it gets to underwriting early friday morning. The underwriters then decide that a drawing showing septic to well distance doesn't have the proper I's dotted and T's crossed. Missed closing date number one. So because we didn't close on the 14th my appraisal expired. So we set another closing date Thursday November 20th. So she has four days to get an appraisal updated (easy job) and the drawing ironed out. Suffice to say after I begged her to follow up and make sure these outside vendors completed their jobs on time she just flatly refused. She told me that she had zero control or influence on outside suppliers and would not call them asking them to hurry or give us a completion date. Closing date #2 missed. So lets try for Friday the 21st, well we do manage to sign the papers but because of her sloth, uncaring attitude and just plain incompetence we cannot get the property funded so I own the debt but cannot take possession. So i own a property I cannot have... Moving van still sitting costing me $30 per day... Monday comes around and I drive up to the property and wait for the realtor to let me in once the financial exchange takes place. But because I didn't sign the automatic withdrawal option that apparently wasn't an option (mistake #132), the loan officer holds up the exchange so I can drive my moving van from the property out to Mountain America Credit Union, so I could sign that piece of paper, another delay and expense at my cost. We couldn't sign it electrically, either... So if you actually want to close on a property avoid Mountain America Credit Union, they just don't know how to do the job, they don't care to do the job, and they don't care about you...
I have two different bank accounts, and soon to be one because I have been back and forth with Wells Fargo. There seems to be either over complication of very simple things, such as the difference of cashing a check and depositing a check, too whether or not funds can even be accessed. I actually went to this location on multiple occasions today, and certainly hope I can completely cut all banking ties in one easy visit!!!
What a joke. I have called multiple times only to get a recorded message each time stating that the office is to busy and to call back later. What happened to service and accountability. THIS IS LEGAL MALPRACTICE!!!
