Fine Dining at It's Best

General Info
Prime steaks, fresh seafood and an award winning wine list combine with friendly service and a warm, inviting atmosphere making Chandlers Steakhouse your destination of choice for a remarkable dining experience. Home of the famous "10 minute martini" enjoy live jazz 7 days a week.  My love of the sea and passion for outstanding seafood goes back to my early days in Hawaii where I opened my first restaurant in 1974. Today, local friends still hand select the finest from the Honolulu Fish Auction and ship it jet-fresh to our kitchen within 24 hours, bringing you the finest Pacific seafood available. Cheers! - REX CHANDLER

How does a restaurant in Boise become the perfect place for

How does a restaurant in Boise become the perfect place for a special occasion or a customer dinner? I the case of Chandlers Steak House, there are 4 key ingredients:
• Ambiance – this place is sharp, hip and cool and has that buzz that you want from a restaurant. There is music every night and the jazz musicians make it seem like they are playing just for you.
• Drinks – they have a great wine list that just gets better every month. All the staff is educated and they understand the nuisances of all the vineyards. But best of all, the10-minute martini. Their award-winning bartender Patrick makes them to suit all tastes—from gin to vodka, to the deconstructed Vesper.
• Great food – this is a basic of any restaurant but Chandlers delivers over the top. Their steaks will make anyone satisfied as they use only the best cuts and they know how to cook them right. It’s kind of cheating because the oven they have makes a steak that you can’t get at home. While they bill themselves as a steak restaurant, their fish is amazing. They fly in it daily and the sea bass, scallops and “today’s special” is as good as anywhere in NY, Chicago or LA.
• People – last but not least, their people make the difference. From the moment you walk into the place you feel like everyone wants you to have a great time. And the more you go, the more the place feels like home – without the relatives.

I always loved the greenbelt bike path in Boise when one of my kids moved here. When I came to visit in Fall of 2007 to meet my new grandchild, we stayed at Hotel 43 and had dinner at Chandlers. I was ready to move to Boise anyway after meeting my darling granddaughter and then even more so after a wonderful evening with live piano music and vocalis in a much more hip and contemporarily classy atmosphere than we ever found in West Los Angeles. Two years later I was a Boise resident and have celebrated many special occasions at Chandler's.

When you can listen to great live jazz the food and drink will always taste better.

A new jewel located in the newly renovated Hotel 43, just rated one of the top 10 hotels in the west by Sunset magazine. Chandler's Steakhouse is a hidden gem that serves excelent food, I especially like the Ahi tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes, but the steaks are their specialty? and the drinks from the martini bar are perfecto. The high class modern decor lends to the relaxing atmosphere as you can sit back and enjoy the fantastic jazz music played nightly.
