I only gave one star because you couldnt leave a comment with no stars, but thats what they deserve. We selected Hinson Management to manage one of our rental properties and it was the biggest mistake I've ever made! Not only are they the rudest people to have to deal with, they lie and cheat people out of their money. Our renters moved out and Hinson Management returned their damage deposit, despite the fact that we notified them immediately that there was water damage to our wood floors and the estimate for repair was over $2,000 for the floors alone. There was also a broken door and stained countertops that were also damaged. Greg Hinson stated that he did not feel that the repair was worth $2000 and he knew a guy who would fix it for $300, so that is all he withheld from their $1400 deposit. Prior to renting the home, he also required us to have the carpet cleaned with a reciept for proof, and in turn, the renters would have to do the same when leaving or pay us the amount we paid to have it cleaned again, as stated in their contract. Greg "forgot" to withhold the $135 from the tenant and told me that I could persue them if I wanted it. They had no regard for our contract with them and only aimed to please the renters, since we were not using their management services any longer and the renters were still renting another home they were managing. They like to use "their people" for repairs and would invoice us outrageous bills for minimal work. They lied and said that they gave us notices and paperwork that they never sent out, leaving us uninformed and used it against us later. They are the most unprofessional company that I have ever come in contact with and will never get my business or recommendation again.
They kick us out when we tried to find a status on a construction delay to improve our house... We have a disabled father who resides with us. However, because the backyard is not paved, he cannot move around the yard on his wheelchair and we are unable to use the basement exit door to gain access to a vehicle. We ask for expansion on concrete driveway and submitted his medical record, detailed sketch of our planned driveway. When president show up he verbally approved but later day he call back and changed his mind, for a week we called to find out the reason why. My husband and i went to Hinson Management office they kick out from it and said "you will receive NO Trespassing"... Go figure what should we do next...
I would give them no stars if I could. Absolutely the worst company I have worked with. We own a townhome in Glenlake which we rent out. Last month we received a late fee of $25. I thought it must be a mistake. I mailed the check 2 weeks early because we were going to be a the beach when the payment was due. However, they insisted they did not lose the check, yelled at me, were extremely rude, and refused to remove the late fee. I had to pay another $30 to stop payment on the check. This is out of over 9 years we have been giving them business and this is how they treat us. Never, never, never use them if you can avoid it.
Not a very motivated company.
