Mr. Arbeau was so skilled and knowledgable. Spend as much time as necessary to do the job. So glad he was recommended.
Initially I wasnt impressed since the pricing information wasnt on the website. But then i called to inquire about the price and the man gave me a 30 minute monologue (which im sure was about valid info) in which i asked 3 different times for the price and was never answered! i dont have that kind of time to waste to not be answered directly. i simply do not trust any company who isnt upfront about their prices, especially when asked 3 times!

Sorry Hannah was frustrated with my responses. When it comes to any business services a simple price is not always accurate without an actual physical appraisal. People always want to think a price equals the same results from all bidders. My service is very different from those that give you a quote "$19.95 Oil Change Bargain" who then build up other fees once they are involved with you. The reality which I was reluctant to offer flat price quotes has everything to do with the age, the condition and past service history of this piano. When a piano that you cannot get safe scores on those areas probably means it is more expensive to invest in than the end value will justify. Some people just want to imagine that a simple few dollars equates with one that has been cared for and maintained over the years. I am frugal even with your money when it involves uncertain investments. I do have an amount for service calls or evaluations... but that is not what this customer was wanting. There are times your answers indicates even the service call is probably a higher value than the instrument you are calling about. My business model is not into promising things we can't always guarantee. Sorry Hannah.
Gerry is more than a "piano tuner," he is a Piano Technician and has been taking care of our piano since 2004. Our antique 1903 piano often needs extra care/repair and he always takes time to explain what he's doing and why. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone with a piano.
Jerry does a superb job tuning pianos for many folks. i have known him for several years now. Jerry spends several hours on my piano, making sure it is clean inside and out, makes sures all of the mechanical actions are working properly and spends a lot of time tuning each key just right. I have been very satisfied with his services and will continue to use him for future tunings, at least twice a year which is recommended.
