This place CARES NOTHING ABOUT ANIMALS AND ARE INCOMPETENT!!!! My neices cat was attacked by a dog on Sat evening about 12:00 midnight she takes him there, they did X-rays for internal injuries and the cat's jaw was broken ! They kept the cat that night and was going to do surgery on Sun, however in the mean time they call my niece whom is 17.They call her on Sun and tell her that they accidentally gave the cat another bag of fluids on top of the bag of fluids they had given him the night before they were supposed to have given him an anti inflammatory drug instead ! Stated they called the poison center and they told them to monitor the cat for effects it could have on cat's heart etc. But now surgery postponed until 7:00 pm on Sun nite ! So they do the surgery and she picks him up on Mon morn 7:00 am they tell her he is not eating very well and if he doesn't eat to follow up with her reg Vet that they have transferred all his records there, She picks cat up on Mon morn 7:00am and takes him home and has to go to work I get off earlier than she does at 6:00pm on Mon I go to ck on her cat. It's obvious the cat is in alot if pain,I call down there and spoke with them and ask them why they sent this animal home with nothing for pain. Her answer was we didn't send it home we transferred to reg Vet ,not true that they knew were taking the cat hom.Carol was her name, I ask her how could they be so heartless to let this cat suffer like this ! She told me to tell my niece to come back down there and pick up pain medicine which we all assumed was included in the 1200.00 bill they gave her, when she got there they told her it was 42.00 would not give her the meds and the fact they endangered her cat at their own hands ! All of this was written in in the discharge papers of the cat !! I called back down there and told them I was appalled that they would let an animal suffer likes this over 42.00, my niece had no money with her ! I was told they don't give free meds !

It being Labor Day, my normal vet was closed. When I called their number, I was forwarded to the airport pet er clinic. It was either wait till 4:30 pm to get my dog into the Robinson pet hospital or take him to the airport er clinic. So I took him to the airport er clinic. He has been having a reoccurring issue within the last month. The only way to fix this issue is to have him neutered (which they refused to do). Most clinics only charged me $100 to have it done. These people charged me $328 to have this done. All about money, did not care that I was displeased with the amount. Don't take your pet here unless you most certainly have to. I will not be taking my pet here again. It was an absolutely ridiculous experience.
First if you bring a hit dog bring your credit card.it is your responsibility. Recently my dog ate a belt I don't know other prices I think 60 70% increase would be fair.We all take that responsibility getting must have a dollar limit made up before hand myself maybe would have possibly put him down but he is my daughter's favorite I tell her she saved his life happy happy happy
I just moved to the Tri Cities area and am not familiar with this emergency vet. However, an incident was just posted by the Blountville Animal Shelter where an injured dog (hot by a car) was taken to this emergency vet by a Good Samaritan and denied care. The reason being that there was no one to take financial responsibility. The poor dog had just been hit by a car. The vet could have at least examined the dog and provided a safe place for him to rest while the owners and or rescues were being located. Is that what this world is coming to? Whatever happened to doing something for the sake of doing what is right, out of a sense of compassion and love? It doesn't always have to be all about the mighty dollar. Due to this situation, I know that I will never be taking my dogs to this vet. I hear that Robinson has an emergency service and is an amazing vet.
I have had to take my dog out there. Well worth the money great care. Experienced educated staff. Up to date equipment. Thank you guys for all you do. Couldnt of made it without your help caring and compassiin.
I just now called for advice cause bad snow. I baby phobie has hurt her paw but is able to walk around.... yet if she touches or i accidentally leaned up on it. She cried out. They had no advice unless u bring iN. Which is impossible with bad ice on road. I had googled and said give baby asprine. Iaskb them and again itvwas all about money
Thank you APEC! I have unfortunately had to bring my babies out here during the odd hours of the night and am always greeted with such a fantastic group of people. My poor Lilah and Lilly ate some chicken bones on Christmas eve and I, to say the least, panicked! The only place open was the Airport Pet Emergency Clinic and I couldn't be more thankful for their service. My little ones will never eat chicken again... but if they do I know where to go!
Thank you Airport Pet Emergency Clinic for saving my little boy! My sweet little Chihuahua got attacked by a neighbors large dog in my yard. It was a holiday so my daytime vet was closed. They did X-rays and said he had 4 abdominal hernias. After a long and risky surgery where they had to take out part of his intestine and were worried he could get peritonitis (due to having holes in his intestine from teeth) they kept him over the holiday and watched him making sure he was recovering and didn't get an infection. He had to be hospitalized for a week and a half. ( I transferred him between my daytime clinic and the ER at night for constant supervision). After their watchful eye, around the clock antibiotics, pain medication, and other stomach medicine he made a full recovery! I am a nurse and was super impressed with the level of care and medicine he received. Me being a nurse and a nervous Momma called every few hours throughout the holiday and the nights he was there, they always gave me updates and were very nice and reassuring. They are all very special people to work the hours they do and for caring for my little baby! Thank you Airport Pet Emergency clinic for being there for us! My little Axle would have died if you hadn't been there and took such good care of him!
I love this clinic and their sweet staff! Several of my pets have been seen here and they have always been so good to them. Recently our Schnauzer came down with Pancreatitis and they saved her life. She was so sick and spiked a terrible fever! I saw Dr. Phipps and Dr. Hahn and they were so informative and kind. They helped me decide the best treatments for her and kept me aware of everything going on with my little girl. The techs were incredibly knowledgeable and never complained about my numerous phone calls. When I picked her up they gave me a big packet telling me about her hourly treatments. I can't express my gratitude enough. Yes, they do cost more than my normal vet but they're emergency. They actually weren't that much more for the bloodwork and it was returned within 30 minutes my regular vet needs at least a day before they get it back. My pets will always be seen here if a problem pops up after hours.
I am so happy with the care they provide. The quality medicine & surgery is paired with such a compassionate touch!
