Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

I checked in at this location and there were lots of people waiting to be seated. I was given a buzzer and told the wait time was about 30 minutes.
When it was time to be seated my group of 6 was placed in the very back of the restaurant in the private dining area with the doors closed.
My concern is why were we seated in the private dining area with closed doors alone? People were waiting to be seated in line behind my family, but never was anyone seated in the private closed section with my family.
As I visit the restroom towards the end of our meal there is still people waiting to be seated. Originally when seated like this I tried to over look the thoughts that crossed my family minds. But after walking through the restaurant and to see the line still growing and no one being seated with us. And to look around and see the only other African American person was a part of a Caucasian party. I would like for someone to tell me why this type of seating took place. It�s 2018 and to come to a restaurant spending our money and feel separated is very distasteful, on many levels. We ordered food, paid our bill and tipped the waitress just as the other guests.
