This is the worst shop I've ever had the bad luck to encounter in my 40 + years of trucking from coast to coast - they worked on my Volvo engine and took me to the cleaners to the tune of $17,000.00 and completely screwed up everything they did - they put a new head on my engine and then only put 1 new injector in and put the old injectors back in - did not tune the new one & put the old ones back in the wrong holes - how the engine ran is a miracle until I got to a Volvo dealer in Chicago & they corrected every thing - I try to tell everybody to stay away from this place because they are out to screw anyone they can get into this place with their cheap labor rate !

Went in for check engine light. Diagnosis found old faults from three years ago that had been corrected. The service writer told me that I needed my DEF filter cleaned, an overhead ran and a new injector. He also told me that Egr lines were clogged and to fix everything would be about $2500. I called Peterbilt as the truck has a Paccar engine. The were busy but referred me to another mechanic who is honest.
I took my truck to that mechanic and he ran a scan . He found a ball joint that was sticking, replaced it and the check engine light has not come back on .
I knew The service writer was trying to scam me at J&R when I question him about the cost. He just took out his pocket calculator without looking at price cost or hours to do the work. He punched in just a few numbers on the calculator and in an instant came up with $2500.
Do not trust this company , they will do work and charge you for work that's not needed.

I've been trucking for Selland Auto Transport for 15 years and my company has been getting serviced at J&R for the last 10 years. Everyone here is very, very friendly including the owners. This is definitely one of the best companies around and they always do a great job. It's fast and they're prices are very good. My favorite things about this place are the service and the movie theater. I definitely recommend this place.
