Apparently they have a lot of dryer fires too. My niece was drying towel when you had to take her daughter to the bathroom. Now they are blaming her for the fire.
Linen Service is definitely the place to go if you are looking for any type of linen or facility service for your business. A+ customer service!
Went there a month ago to do some spa laundry from work. This wasn't my first time there doing work laundry or any other laundry at that. This time I needed to get the laundry done as quickly as possible, so I seperated it into smaller loads to dry it. After 15 minutes of drying, I checked on them and took out what was dry and continued to dry the rest. The sheets were so hot they burned my hands coming out and were smoldering. Not thinking anything of it, I continued to dry my towels. I was watching them in wait when I saw them catch fire. I quickly put it out and was able to save my towels. They just had a little scorch to them. I called the owner and was told that maybe I should find another laundromat to do my things at. No apology, nothing. Well, I was able to get someone else to do the wash for me for a while, but this week she was unable to do it. So, what do you do when there is only one laundromat in town and the next ones 10+ miles away? Plus you have a two year old....you have to suck it up and go to the overpriced laundromat that is in town. Well, with a two year old things aren't always as simple as you would like them to be. After washing with two wash cycles in hot water and drying for a half an hour, some things were dry where others were not. So I took out the dry and put the damp towels back in for another 15 minutes. Knowing that I need to keep a close eye on them so I wouldn't have a repeat of last month, I figured I would stay right there and keep an eye out, just in case. Then my daughter informs me that she needs to use the bathroom....mind you, there are no facilities there, so I go to the dollar store and ask of I can usr theirs. Just as we are finished in the bathroom, the fire alarm sounds. I knew it was my laundry. I had asked my husband to come over to help me with our child and he was on his way over and smelled the smoke and ran in looking for us. He got the fire out, but had to go two stores down to the dollar store to get a fire extinguisher! He burned his hand trying to stop the flames from destroying everything. The cleaner was just showing up to clean as this all happens and calls the owner to inform him of what had happened. I was then informed that this was my fault for coming back and that I was no longer welcome there! I was told that the massage cream that is used is what caused the fire. NOT the fact that the dryers are too hot! My cream is water solulable first off. Second, if that was the case, then every time the go into ANY dryer the should combust. They don't. So now I have a box full of charred towels, and no reimbursement, no thank you to my husband for saving his overpriced, out of date, un-maintained laundromat, plus I AM NO LONGER WELCOME THERE!
Too dirty, the place and the machines. Too expensive and dryer door window gaskets had about 1/2" gaps which I plugged with a folded dryer sheet. still cost 2 bucks to dry a load.
