So my first time coming here I was on a hunt for a medium sized or large parrot. I went to the store hoping I could hopefully find a buddy. Walked in and i asked about the first couple birds i saw. "Not for sale" the lady said, asked about next bird "Not for sale" .. by the 5th time i asked she seemed pissed off and i was frustrated because it seemed like half the damn store was owned by the owner. The birds who were sold didnt even have a sign on them. Does it really take alot of time to put a note next to the cage that says STORE owned or SOLD. Like come on..Okay so came back a year and a half later (didnt want to but i was looking for a mate for my other macaw and this store is local) this was a month or two ago by the way. The gentlemen in the front was kind to me and the lady seemed nicer than before. Of course the other old lady shorter fatter lady was there too cleaning or god knows what. I put my finger up to the cage and she yelled at me to not touch because they bite. So this was the part that pissed me off. Last time i checked it was a bird store, not a zoo. So what made her think i didn't know birds bite. She was very judgemental about us because we were college students but i was the only one trying to interact with the birds because i OWN MANY. So either this lady has to get fired or stop working there because she seems like shes miserable and hates her lifeJust remember, this review is from TWO visits not one.
I remember when I first adopted my Conure Mimi. They were an invaluable source of supplies and advise. They are truly gifted. I am grateful that they are so close and so very different from other stores I have visited. Thank you guys!Mimi McDermott's Mom
I can't say enough about how much I love this business. We've been searching for a breeder that would be a great fit for us. As soon as we walked in the door we were struck by how clean and fresh smelling it was. The staff was very warm and welcoming. They clearly adore all their birds and their primary concern is their physical as well as their emotional well being. They were eager to share their knowledge while lovingly caring for the birds around them. The birds all appeared to be in pristine condition and it was a joy watching them interact with the staff. They were clearly cherished and the interactions allowed us to see the temperament of the birds. Absolutely amazing.
I agree Ursyla and Carl really know what they are doing!! This is by far the best bird store anywhere. And trust me I have been to stores. None compare to the cleanliness and friendliness of Fancy Feathers. Joyce Pepe is probably the best bird groomer around! She has working there for years and has excelptional experience handling birds! This is the go to place for all of your bird supplies and grooming!
