        United Supermarkets was founded by H.D. Snell in 1916 in Sayre, Okla. The company operates more than 25 stores in Oklahoma and employs over 1,200 people throughout the United States. Its stores operate bakery departments that offer a variety of products, including cakes, doughnuts, cookies, homemade meringue pies and freshly baked breads. Some of its stores also offer photo-image cake decoration services along with balloons and candles for special occasions. In addition, many of the company s stores offer sandwiches, coffees and fountain drinks. Some of United Supermarkets stores feature wider aisles for shopping and have a battery-operated cart available for shoppers with physical disabilities. It maintains a location in Blackwell, Okla.

        good store for town this size

        I like United. It is a good store for a town our size. I am very thankful we have it!

        This store has went down hill ...

        This store has went down hill so badly since Homeland bought it that i will NOT shop there. The price's are way to high

        and the manager is NOT friendly. Nor the asst. Manager. There is way to much clutter and not enough room because

        of stuff piled in the way. It stinks now just like the one that was south main. and some of the carry outs act like they

        are not all there, and NOT friendly at all. I DO NOT like this store and i do NOT recommend it to any one at all, i say

        lets all go to Ponca city for the better buys. they will not even be compatative with prices. you pay it or do without.

        well, I'd drive clear to Ponca first. Things are absolutley NOT the same. i say, thumbs DOWN DOWN!!! I hate to even

        give them one star, let alone five. I mean what i am saying and i am not just saying it to be smart, this is my truthful

        feelings. you ask for it, you got it.
