This is an exerpt from an disgusted email that I sent to the owner, Bill.
I was just sent a picture of the Make a Wish standard flowers that you delivered to the recipient. I have never been more disappointed in a delivered product before as I am with yours. The picture on your website and on the Teleflora website is nothing like the product that you delivered. The product you show on your site, which mirrors the Teleflora site is full of vibrant colorful flowers with hardly any fillers. The delivered product has perhaps 1/4 of the flowers that is shown on the picture and has more green from the fillers used more than anything. I intentionally choose to order directly off your website than through Teleflora even though your site charged $10.00 more for the same product for two main reasons. I believed that you would at least deliver an identical if not a superior product as shown on your actual website, and second, the intended recipient a florist herself, personally knows the owner, Bill. If this is the type of product you give to those that are willing to pay 33% more and to recipients that you know, then people need to be informed to take their business elsewhere.
Word of caution, don't order from these guys, they obviously dont send out what they show on their own site.
Update: After writing my earlier review about my order, the recipient of the flowers I ordered was contacted at 10:30pm by the worker who made the flowers by text. Why the florist or their employees decided to not call me, the person who ordered the flowers regarding the order is beyond me. Yes that is right 10:30PM as in very late at night. So unless you want the innocent recipient of your flower delivery to be harassed late at night about their extremely sub par products, skip this florist. I hear that they are planning on opening a second location. I recommend everyone pass on that as well.
We were to send this to one of our workers for mother's Day, but she was unable to help us that day. We received an e-mail from the gentleman that sent her this arrangement and responded by saying that we did follow the recipe for the arrangement and did add a couple of flowers in extra. One of our employees after work contacted the recipient and asked her if the arrangement was ok by text after she got home and there wasn't any problem indicated. We only can assume the sender was trying to get his money back. If one of our employees personally knows the recipient as well, we feel that it is ok for them to text each other after work and the management does not control which employees contact one another after work. It was not my knowledge that a text was sent back and forth until the next day and the employees indicated everything was ok with the arrangement. I was referred to D'Rose by a family friend who had Bill do the flowers at all of her three daughters' weddings. She raved about his prices and enthusiastic customer service. She could not have been more right. The consultation meeting took longer than I anticipated (we kept going off on tangents about weddings and wedding planning) but so far Bill has gone above and beyond to make the flowers absolutely perfect for the big day. Even though he was busy he still took the time to check with different growers to get me the best price. His work is fabulous and is the best deal in the area (less than half of what I was going to be charged at Best Wishes - I credit the low overhead costs of maintaining his teeny tiny shop space). Since then I have referred several friends also in the throes of wedding planning to D'Rose with very positive feedback. From now on when it comes to flowers, Bill is my main man!
I started going to D'Rose a few years ago because they had the best prices in town. I continue going because they STILL have the best prices but also the corsages are beautiful and exactly what I am looking for. My son's girlfriend always gets compliments on her corsage and is asked where it came from. Also Bill and Angela are great about helping me make decisions about size, number of flowers, colors, etc. They have even sent me home with 4-5 different ribbons so my son could pick out the one he liked best. Go here first and see if you don't agree that they are fantastic.
Placed an order back on June 30th over the phone for the July 4th holday weekend and the florist is closed like most on Saturday. However, the florist delivered the flowers late afternoon on Friday and put more in the arrangement than I had asked for and mom was delighted when she called me this evening. Thanks for making my elderly mom so happy on this holiday weekend since all her kids and grandkids can't be with her. I can't express how happy she was when she called. It was a pleasure talking to Bill on the phone and I will order I'm sure again soon!
Do not waste your money on this company.
They make sub par design arrangements and had an unprofessional delivery service.
I could have spent a lot less and gotten the same quality at Walmart in Christiansburg!
And worst of all; they verbally abused my 82 year old mother, after I called to complain about the flowers that were delivered. Then a DRose representative called my home and spoke profanity. Completely unbelievable!
We have provided floral arrangements for this customer & recipient for the past few years, and have always been more than accomodating. The recipient never answers the door, even though on a couple of occasions, there were several people at the home. We have always had to make several delivery attempts before a younger gentleman would answer the door. The last delivery we made, a few of the tulips grew at a downward angle(this is not unusual for tulips to do once they are cut), & we replaced the entire arrangement for her. We made a courtesy call to the customer who placed the order to ensure that the arrangement was acceptable. The customer told us that she had cancelled the order with the sending florist, after we had replaced the flowers. We did not use profanity or verbally abuse anyone involved with this order. We simply asked the customer to contact another florist in the future. Our flowers are delivered to us FRESH each day, and although Wal Mart may be cheaper, the quality is questionable. Our delivery drivers are always courteous & efficient, even when returning to a recipient's home numerous times. The Virginia Tech community has voted us #1 Florist for the past few years.
