Yesterday, my mother who will be 89 years old in 2 days & LOVES to shop at WM at Trussville Crossings Pkwy. She did her grocery shopping but was not feeling well & while in the check-out line got sick with vertigo & could not check out. She requested to the cashier, if she could, would she go & find her son who was sitting by the door waiting for her so that he could help her & also check out her groceries. Without hesitating, the cashier put up a sign on her counter saying that she was closed & left very quickly to go & get my brother. I am usually with my mother, but this time it was my brother who took her to do her shopping but when I was told this by my mother, I wanted to write you & let you know just how thankful we are for the kind & considerate service that you once again provided to my mother. Mother did not get the lady cashiers name & cannot find her receipt, but she told me that it was at register #1 & the time was between 12:00 noon or 1:00. I would like to extend a thankful recognition to this cashier & personally thank her when I am in the store again. Thank You Wal Mart, we do appreciate you & your ever-so-kind & thoughtful employees. My name is M. J. Williams E mail add. firstname.lastname@example.org
David, the pharmacist, has been so nice, helpful, and, there are just too many great words to say about him AND Richard (I think he is the Pharmacy Tech). Unfortunately I do not know the lady who checks everyone out but she is also very kind and helpful and always pleasant. It is the first Pharmacy that I have used that has treated me with friendly respect. I take a lot of pain medications and suffer from debilitating pain, fatigue and at times, depression. The depression has eased since I have finally found a group of MDs that treat me and my pain with caring and compassion and not like a "drug seeker." I swear that I would not go through what I do with the side effects and the fear of people looking down on me because of the meds I take if I did not have to. This pain is just unbelievably severe. Griffin Pharmacy is exceptional! I give them as many stars as you can get. I just can't believe I have found them. I was treated pretty badly at Walgreens (one particular store) other stores have been OK but no one can beat David at Griffin Pharmacy, Trinity Medical Center. Krissy Byars
MY HUSBAND AND I WERE VISITING FAMILY AND FRIENDS IN BIRMINGHAM, AL.; WHEN WE REALIZED WE DIDN'T PACK AN IMPORTANT MEDICINE. WE QUICKLY CALLED HIS DR.'S OFFICE IN MARYLAND TO HAVE A PRESCRIPTION FAXED TO B'HAM....THE NEXT DAY ON August 2, 2013 between the morning hrs of 9:00 -10:00 a.m., we went to the Pharmacy area and was greeted by a young lady who Represented the Walgreen's Store so well we are now changing our Pharmacy patronage from all others to Walgreens!!! THERE WAS NO MISCOMMUNICATION BETWEEN MARYLAND AND BIRMINGHAM WHATSOEVER!!! She was very efficient in handling a large volume of customers also! PROFESSIONAL...WELL ORGANIZED AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! I WAS GLAD TO BE A NATIVE OF BIRMINGHAM ON THIS DAY FOR CERTAIN!! THANK YOU WALGREENS- LOMB AVE. S.W. AND THE OTHER PHARMACY STAFF THAT DELEGATED THE DISPENSING AND PACKAGING TASK OF THE MED. SUPPLIES! KUDOS TO YOU FROM MARYLAND!!!!! THANKS MILLION TIMES OVER! **Mr. and Mrs. Pryor
Great people and you never have to drop off your Rxs to get them filled and I've never waited more than 15 min to get anything filled and I usually have 15+ Rxs to get filled at a time and they jump right on it and Ive never waited more than 15 min to get anything filled. They're staff is super nice and know you by name and they're as far from a chain pharmacy as you want to get and they treat you right, and their prices are as good as anyone's you'll find in Birmingham. I'll be using Stephens as long as I live in AL because they treat you great, respectfully, and they're fast. I send everyone I know to them because they earned my business without a doubt and they'll keep it as long as I live around here. Kudos to Stephens!! Keep up the GREAT work!!
The title reference is to the old TV show "American Bandstand" where records were rated as to their "dance-ability". This Wal-mart is very "easy to dance to". The shelves are kept well stocked and the store is neat. My only complaint is that they have recently remodeled and it is sometimes hard to locate things. They also took out the sewing section and many people have missed it that I've spoken to. Other than that you can expect pretty good service all around.
Kind of old. Caters to college kids since is beside the campus of UAB. Terrible hours - I don't know if that is because of the location (not exactly safe in that area at night). But is good for emergencies if you can get there when it's open - not open late enough. I think they close at 8 p.m. Merchandise rows are crowded - not much space in the store for merchandise - needs to be renovated or a new building built.
Patron2 obviously doesn't know the staff at Tyner's very well. I have never found ANY of the staff to be anything other than kind and always willing to answer any question I might have. Many of my friends use them as well and the service is outstanding. I don't have to wait 30 minutes for a refill. And, by the way, they are Auburn fans and I am a BIG Bama fan and would not change pharmacist. They are the BEST.
Parkway Discount Drugs is a family owned business and customer satisfaction is their priority. A friendly staff always has the prescriptions filled on-time and have worked with us when we needed something quickly. We love the visit for it's a wonderful change from the Wal-marts and Walgreens of the world to whom you're just a number. I highly recommend visiting Parkway Discount Drugs today to see for yourself.
Today it's 3 star. I was checking out and the clerk reached across the counter with the basket and said "Put this back in the basket holder." I usually do it myself anyway, but I think it is much nicer to ask someone than make them feel like they are doing something wrong. It may sound minor, but good customer service goes a long was! It was still bothering me when I got home!
It seems that nobody wants to take care about the customers. You can spend about an hour filling up your new prescription or picking up the medicine is supposed to be ready for. You can stand 5-10 minutes in front of the register till staff will pay attention to you. They are too busy. This location definitely needs in good management to save business.
