I have been a patient here for years with 2 pregnancies and I have had nothing but good experiences. The doctors and staff are wonderful!
Horrible experience Dr . Taylor wanted to remove my ovaries. Dignosed me uncorrectly and only seemed to be after the money. Being a 30 yr old without any any children ovary removal was the last thing I wanted to hear. She proformed several of the same test I believe to deter me into thinking I needed surgery to remove cysts on my ovaries that were not there. Went to Dr. Adcock at Brookwood wonderful experience. Turns out I have endometriosis he did do a exploratory Lap to Diagnosis this gave me meds and diet change I feel 80% better. I have 75% of both ovaries remaining. B/C the endo was attached to my ovaries he had to scrap some of it off. I believe if I would've trusted Dr. Taylor with my surgery she would've removed both ovaries! Leaving me at no chance of ever being a mother. I at least still have a 75% chance with both ovaries remaining.
I chose this office after a family member recommended them. It is frustrating how unconcerned the test scheduling staff was with my case. Sometimes takes days for call backs, and they wouldn't tell me what the testing was for, here it is three month later and I still can't get an appointment for the test. I wouldn't recommend them for a doctor not even for my pets. Waste of time and money!
I hate to give this 1 star since the doctor was wonderful. My issue is with the billing department. if you go for a Well Women's exam, no matter how nice the doctor is, DON'T MENTION ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR HEALTH OR BODY because they will change the visit to a very expensive visit. I wish they had told me that every question I asked would cost me an arm and a leg, I would have never even considered this place.Very sad to say goodbye to the doctor that treated me, but I don't have money to throw around.
Just like there are "puppy mills" in dog breeding, this place is a "baby mill". The level of care I have received at this place is just about equal to having no OB care at all. You will rarely see "your" doctor. What doctor you do see will literally be in your room for two minutes or less. I have had some serious issues during this pregnancy and at one point had lost over 10 lbs in two weeks. I had some severe vomiting, weight loss, and swollen throat and was unable to get out of bed for quite some time. I called the doctor's office a week after this all began and was prescribed TAMIFLU! When I read about Tamiflu and found that even if it was flu that it is only effective within 48 hours of symptoms, I called the patient care line to ask questions and was told that I could either take the medicine or seek care elsewhere! It took an additional month of begging doctors for help there (all the while being told it was stomach acid or morning sickness) before finding out that I had a very bad throat infection causing it all. A round of antibiotics helped tremendously but they wouldn't even stay in the room long enough to find out what was wrong with me or even take a look at my throat when I told them it felt like something to do with my throat was causing the vomiting. You NEVER talk to a live person when you call them, only voice mails. They MAY call you back the same day and they may not. As far as a caring nursing staff, you can forget it. The nurses are (for the majority) rude and condescending. At one satellite office I experienced two nurses yelling in each other's face whilst I was only feet away in an open lab area! The different office staff members speak poorly of the other offices in the presence of patients. They must not review your chart before they come in other than the numbers from that very day and since it is impossible to see the same doctor the majority of the time that becomes a HUGE problem! They are unprofessional, courteous, and though we are less than a handful of weeks away from delivery, we are considering dealing with the hassle of switching to another clinic. Delivering at St. Vincent's is NOT worth putting up with this office.
