Wells Fargo Home Mortgage

STAY AWAY! DO NOT try and get a mortgage loan with Wells Fargo. Go ANYWHERE else. They will waste your time and sanity. I shopped dozens of lenders for the best rate and thought I had a good deal with WF. It took almost 2 months to finally (not really) close the loan. Had to continuously send more documents for underwriting. At one point they asked for a signed letter explaining the money I had paid to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. It was for the appraisal on THIS loan. They can't even keep up with the money I paid them. Took weeks to get them to accept a verification of employment document. Very, very nit picking about a lot of things. Then they mess everything up. Told me that because I was receiving a gift of equity that I would have to have TWO appraisals done. After I paid for the second one, they never did it. Just took the $435. Finally got all the stuff approved and signed all the paperwork and the HUD was all messed up. And the mortgage and deed was messed up. And FOUR DAYS after the signing, they called me and told me I was supposed to pay $1800 for closing costs. Not before the signing. Not at the signing. FOUR DAYS AFTER the signing, the officer calls me and tells me I have to pay $1800 before the end of the day or have to sign all the paperwork again. Then after I pay them, I can get my money back for the second appraisal. Hmmm. Now's my chance to get out of this deal and start over.

my worst banking experience ever. (HARP) after 4 1/2 month!!! they told me ,we would close next week. they asked for $1000 to remove the PMI and than did not do it. promised me we would close at the end of next week and did not reply to my e-mails or phone calls so I had to drive 30 miles to their office were they told me the under writer decided that I had to wait for 4 more month. No way I refinance with any other Bank
