Social security disability determination services sent me to graystone neurology and pain management for evaluation I figured if they are good enough to judge my conditions caused by a motorcycle accident they would be good enough to help me I had a severe traumatic brain injury that put me in a coma for two weeks and causes severe pain my primary neurologist doesn't write any pain medicine so he said That he would have to send me to a pain clinic so I decided to return to graystone neurology for help after going to them for four months they told me their was nothing they could do to help me and that I would need to go back and see my primary neurologist they then told me they only write pain medicine they aren't real neurologist and the pain I was experiencing was phantom pain caused by my severe traumatic brain injury and since they only wrote pain medicine and my pain was neurological there was nothing they could do to help me because neurology on their sign out front was false but SSDDS feels that graystone neurology are able to judge my condition but not help me now here I am with two huge ulcers from otc pain killers but there is nothing they can do to help me because phantom pain is just like real pain to me and to top matters off I was denied my SSD it's not like I need it forever I'm trying to return to work but it's really tough being in pain all of the time

One has to wait about 4 or more hrs. to see Dr. Hakim. He tries to sell you everything from exercise machines to excessive prescriptions. I missed an appointment last Jan. and I did call in, in advance b/c I was in the hospital with Pneumonia. He was so angry that he called my pharmacy and told my druggist to have all of my medicines refilled. It cost me a pretty penny, for sure b/c my husband picked them up. He didn't know what was needed to be picked up. A lot of my prescriptions were filled by the Va so they were angry and trying to get in touch with him. He is dishonest.
Not professional, disorganized. Nurse and doctor are rude. Doctor tells patients they are stupid
Dr. Stanner found out my Mother had NPH-water on the brain. He listened to me when no one else would because the MRI didn't show the disease. Dr. Stanner looked behind her left eye and found the water. Quickly we went to Brookwood Hospital and I was never so put at ease and putting a shunt in my Mother's head at 74 years old was quite scary. Dr. Stanner saved my Mother from the nursing home because as this progresses she would have gotten other symptoms which would've made it impossible to enjoy her independent life. She lived 7 more years and you can't put a price on that; he is my hero for giving me those extra years. I highly recommend that if you have any family members who have the symptoms of NPH that you get them to Dr. Stanner ASAP. I will never forget him and his kindness. One more thing my Mother came through the surgery needing only Advil.
