I have tried to call you and all I get is a fax scream. That is not a good way to run your business. I am interested in a pick-up truck and wanted to check with you.
I financed a car from here. I had all of the money except for $1000 and they charged me $500 in interest and even taxed me on the interest. They told me that any problems that may arise with the car they would fix for cost of parts. The car should have NEVER passed inspection. The tires were dry rotted, no brakes, rotted transmission lines, power windows didn't work, the frame was rusted through and the sub frame was completely rotted away. Also a few other things. When I brought it in all of a sudden the owner said I needed to pay for labor too. They were only available to fix things after 4 on 2 days a week. They would take forever to fix anything. I ended up taking it to Kost and that's when all of the major problems were pointed out. They gave me an itemized list of problems and told me that the car was not safe to drive at all. I took the list to J & Js and the owner refused to even look at the list. He was very mean. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM.
First of all, I should say that I did purchase a car from these guys because I LOVE the car, it was fairly priced and in mint condition. However, I do NOT love them or their manner of dealing with customers. I put a large down payment on the car, only to have them LOSE THE KEYS TO IT. I had to wait 3 extra days to get the car, during which I missed work twice as I could not find a ride. Then, when they finally got things together for me, they had to the nerve to refuse to discount me the remaining $90 because the car had "cost so much to get keys for". They were sexist in their approach to dealing with me and said "Sweetheart, we aren't making anything on it." Total lies. The car was at the top of KBB pricing. I was shocked by their rudeness and disregard for their customers. I was not even offered a refund for the cab fair or a rental during the three days I waited for them to get the keys. Ridiculous. I felt demeaned and ripped off. Don't waste your time with these guys.
I would highly recommend Rockport Auto Sales to anyone that is thinking about purchasing a used car. I heard good things about them from a friend that bought his car from there. I went there expecting a high pressure sale but was surprised by how easy and low pressure the whole process was. I dealt directly with the owner (Jule) who went out of his way to not only get me in the car that I wanted but he also got me approved at a local bank which is already helping to re-build my credit. The car that I bought from a local buy here pay here lot in Endicott was a piece of junk. It wasn't even worth half of what I paid for it. The owner still took it on trade for what I felt was fair and got me approved originally with a finance company that dealt with bad credit. He explained that if I just got established and paid on the car for three months he could get me refinanced at a local bank that would lower my interest rate as well as my payments. Three months later I came back and he contacted the bank and just like he said they approved me, which lowered my payment. They even gave me a credit card. The best part was I got to order my car and he went and got me exactly what I wanted from the auction. It was a single owner with a good car fax and he sold it to me for almost $5000 under the book value. I felt like I made the best deal all the way around. So far I've referrred 2 friends who also purchased cars and I received $250 for each car they purchased. I wish I would've bought my first car from Rockport. Again I tell all my friends about my experience.mit was great!!!!!
