Kathy is not a good person. There are a select group of people who have been going to her for years who she will cater to (which explains all the 5 star reviews) but if you don't belong to this exclusive group she will treat you like dirt. Her "office" is really just a home in a terrible part of Binghamton. It is falling down and dirty, a totally disgusting place. The second you walk in the smell of urine hits you in the face. It is not sanitary at all. Both Kathy and her receptionist Patty are rude and condesending. My appointment was scheduled right after their lunch break and when I showed up a few minutes early, thinking that I would have new patient paperwork to fill out, Patty chastised me for interupting her lunch. Then when I finally was called in to see Kathy (after waiting an unacceptable amount of time) she became extremely upset because my dog would not jump up on the examining table. My dog is a large breed and because of sore hips he does not like to jump up on furtinure and tables. I would think that being a vet Kathy would be understanding of this. She was not and she showed ZERO compassion for my dogs sore hips. She stood with her arms folded and told me until I got him up on the table she would not look at him. She then proceeded to tell me that she had a cold and "was not in the mood for this." TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! I should have just left but being the type of person I am I gave her the benefit of the doubt and decided she was just having a bad day. Once we got him on the table and the exam finally started she was more intersted in talking about the football game from the night before and a trip to Florida with her family. She seemed actually put out when I tried to stear the converstion back to my dog's care. I will never go to her again. She may be cheap but she does not provide good care to the animals. REMEMBER: you get what you pay for and if you truly love your pet it would be in your best intrest to take them someplace else!!
Awful refused to help a sick pregnant stray told to go somewhere else...my older cat got her nail caught in a rug we thought she might have broke her leg twisting it..thank got she is ok but they told me they do not have an X-ray machine again to go somewhere else! Really.. TERRIBLE where is her compassion ?
terrible called to have my dog put to sleep and because he had not been there for a year they told me to go somewhere else. had been takeing him there for 15 yrs ..have noticed how dirty the place was getting but less expensive than others so i now realize you get what you pay for.please pay extra and go somewhere else. speak took us right in and were very nice let us say our goodbyes with no rush ...............
HORRIBLE VET!!!!.... I brought my cat to Cathy when she was 10 weeks old because of worms. She had us try 3 different types of medication and nothing worked, so we let it go. Then came time this week to have our cat declawed (i know not good) and spayed. We dropped her off in to morning and had to wait 30 minutes while every other person that walked through the door was helped before us. When I went to pick up my cat, i was told a price of $154.00. Mind you I was expecting to pay $260.00. When I inquired about why it was so cheap, the receptionist said "oh shoot, i forgot to have her declaw her, but we can do it tomorrow morning....." When I asked for an explanation she said, "we were really busy this morning"...That means if they are busy, only expect half of the work to be done. The next day I walked back in there to pick up the cat again and asked if there was anything they could do on price due to the situation, she threw my records in my face and told me I was being unreasonable. She said "I don't need your business, so please leave." DONT GO HERE. The place smells of urine and feces, it's unclean, unkept, and understaffed. My cat's bandages are stuck to her hair which makes it impossible to remove. There's no gauze under the tape so now I'm hurting the cat even more. CATHY needs to learn customer service and learn to admit when she makes a mistake, not tell the customer it's their fault she didnt complete all of the work that was requested.
