Assisted Living in Biloxi, MS

HORRIBLE! This monster corp. should not be allowed to operate at all. My Mother was so neglected it’s pathetic. All of the horrific stories involving elders being neglected, the financial gain goals, over charging (even for unused services) and so many more terrible, habitual practices by Brookdale are unacceptable. Consumeraffairs.com is one excellent source of complaints and sad stories, as well as the BBB. People need to research a facility before placing a loved one in it. It’s unbelievable how many don’t. My mother had major stomach surgery and was taken to Brookdale Lohmans Crossing in Lakeway, Tx, from the hospital for physical therapy. Not one person greeted my Mother nor saw her until late that evening for vitals. A stranger knew which room was to be hers so he showed her to it. The 1st evening, my Mother pushed the call button for a nurse to assist her to the restroom. No nurse or anyone else showed up. She managed to make it to the restroom, despite the pain and hardship to walk. She had needed assistance due to an episode of diarrhea which became an emergency while in the restroom alone. My Mother pulled the EMERGENCY cord yet at NO time, again, did anyone EVER show up to help her. She did the best she could to clean up and made her way back to the bed. She had difficulty moving around in the bed due to no rails, she was promised some 3 different times but they were never brought. One of the WORST scenarios is that the 7 days and 6 nights her sheets were NEVER changed and she was never offered a BATH of any kind. Once again, she did the best she could. Cleanliness and surroundings being clean and sterile is essential in preventing infections and preventing bacterial problems, especially with incisions, cuts, etc.! My Mother answered their survey when she got home (she left on her own before they wanted her to because of all these things) and her remarks were upsetting to me, particularly when she wrote “This is a place to go to die.”

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. My parents spent the past year and a half at this facility. At first, it lived up to its advertisement ... clean with a great staff. But within in a few months, it became a nightmare to deal with the unprofessional management staff at the facility. As my father's health and mobility began to decline, we were threatened with having to move them ... at their own expense ... to a 1st floor apartment. They were never told up front that if you couldn't get up and down the stairs on your own, you had to live on the 1st floor. If they had been told that, they would have a picked a 1st floor unit. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY WITH THIS FACILITY. My parents were placed on a waiting list but never offered anything of comparable size on the 1st floor ... even though units became available. When my father finally became bed-bound, the final straw was broken when the manager told my mom they would do whatever it takes to help and then subsequently called me to tell me they couldn't stay there anymore unless we brought someone in at night ... at our own expense ... to evacuate them if need be. Of course we didn't know if the state would even approve this plan. Luckily we still hadn't sold my parents' home and moved them back home so my father could pass away in peace and my mother didn't have to work with these fools any longer. TAKE MY ADVICE ... STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Every time I've visited the facility, it's always neat, very clean, and the staff are always great!!!

If you're looking for caregivers that truly care about your family member this is by far the best company to call.The staff is very friendly and eager to help you find the best level of care for your family member. I would give them ten stars !!!

My mother and father are at the Residence at Bay Cove and they love it. They say it is truley home away from home. The staff, food, and activities all are so amazing! My husband and I come and have dinner with Mom and Dad often and we've really enjoyed them being here. The staff treats them like as if they are family and you can tell they care. I highley recommend it to any family looking for that special place for your loved one!

Residence at Bay Cove is the most beautiful place to retire on the MS Gulf Coast! The lengths the staff go to in order to make us feel welcomed and accommodated are unmatched in my experience! Hands down...these people care the MOST for each and every one of us, and you can feel it the minute you walk in the door! There is no place on the MS Gulf Coast better to retire at than Residence at Bay Cove!

These people are THE biggest scam artists on the Gulf coast! Please do not put your family members here!
