The Book Cellar

Lovely cozy used book store. I like the quirky discounts.... on my recent visits authors with a last name beginning with C were 15% off. I am a mystery fan and they had a good selection.

At first appearance this seemed like the perfect little book store to me, an avid reader. However, when I asked if they knew if the issue had been resolved between Jean Auel and her publisher, I got a blank stare. They hadn't heard of the author of the Clan of Cave Bear series. Same look for "anything new by Tammi Hoag?" When I asked how their trade system worked the woman acted as if I had asked her where she bought her underwear.....they have zero knowledge of authors or genre'. The customer service is lacking. When I went in again to just use up the $21 in credit, I was told I had already used it on the day I earned it which was untrue. So all in all, I would rate them LESS then the 1 I had to give them. Pity. Location was convenient, and again, the place has great potential as far as the aesthetics and quality of books.
