Nothing special but at least the staff was friendly. The oatmeal was good. Everything else was standard.
Tried to go in for dessert but the wait was almost an hour and for good reason. Went upstairs as they had a more relaxed free for all seating. The full menu isn't available but they did have great appetizers and the desserts we were looking for. We were also treated to live music and friendly service. We will definitely be back to experience the full menu.
The food here is amazing. It is a little pricy (as tea is) but the food is so fresh and delicious-definitely homemade. The soups are mouth watering! Make a reservation! The service is always very good and it has that cluttered, typical tea house decor. A very fun way to spend a couple of hours in Big Bear.
, One star only because they won't let you post ZERO STARS! Worst food I have ever had. I have never wrote a review before but feel strongly you should be warned! I could not even chew my steak, literally had to remove it from my mouth, "Fresh seasonal vegetables" were canned beans with some onions thrown in. Mash potatoes the only good item, however, I didn't order them!? First time to Big Bear and hiked all day with my dogs, I was starving and truly could not eat my meal. Wasted 35 bucks and not happy. Went and got a piece of pizza when I left.
Went here last weekend while visiting Big Bear. Solid breakfast place and dog friendly on the patio, which is a must for my husband and my pooch. I really enjoyed the corned beef hash with poached eggs and the cinnamon corn bread! The staff were friendly and attentive - perfect breakfast spot. We will be back here for sure.
BLT in Big Bear is totally awesome…Laura was my go to gal for the feast…out of the box cheese/jallopneo soup…add the homemade potato salad that had tons of extra goodies in it and then a self ordered (from the kids menu..they still gave it to a big kid…) a peanut butter sammie on toasted sourdough bread….choose a diet coke for libation instead of wine….may rethink that next time….there will be a next time…right on the main highway to the ski slopes… a must stop..been eating in big bear for many years and this is the best for casual dining!!!! a must do
Teddy Bear's is a real Big Bear staple. The staff is courteous, food is great and the laid-back diner feel is very refreshing. All in all, it's a great local business well worth stopping by, if only for a slice of pie a la mode!
We ate on the patio. I had a ham and cheese omlet with avacado and tomato. They also included fresh fruit, which was wonderful. The omlet was cooked perfectly. My husband loved his food also. The service was great.
