Greetings, I have been attempting to reach a supervisor to no avail. When trying to call your foundation I was met with extreme rudeness, and the responder on the phone a woman, hung up in my face, and would not let me speak to a supervisor, and she would not give me the company email.



I have been an attorney for a while, and have interacted with numerous people of different personalities. The receptionist is by far the rudest most racist person I have ever encountered in my life, and I have never ever had such poor customer service.



I am baffled that it was a non profit foundation I had called. I have run my own law firm before I became disabled, as well as a non profit organization for economically disadvantaged children, and I have never seen this sort of treatment to another human being.



I will look to see if there are any disability discrimination claims that I may pursue do to my treatment by your receptionist, and how she spoke to me about my disability. This treatment is horrendous, and unacceptable.



Your receptionist makes your entire organization seem fraudulent. If you don't possibly like working with poor people, which I could tell immediately when I spoke to receptionist that she had an issue with me, then your foundation should not offer services if you cannot treat your customers with a modicum of respect.

TERRY AUSTIN IS RUDE AND CONDESCENDING!

I don't know how these people are allowed to ""rescue"" dogs and keep them in these conditions. When people, like myself, try to provide a loving home for a dog they are tolds things like ""You are not a desireable applicant"" even though I have been a pet owner and fostered pets all my life. Terry told me that if most of neighbors did not have pets that I shouldn't get a dog either. I told her that I had moved around alot but now that I had settled into place that I would love a dog. She then said: she would rather a dog stay at the shelter than have to adjust to moving so much. Nothing she said made sense but she had already made it clear that she would NEVER let me adopt. Here most of the dogs looked negelect like they hadn't had a bath in months. All of the dogs coats were matted and needed brushing. Some had number of bugs crawling on them. This woman is crazy. Anyone who would prefer an animal stay in a cramped shelter than be in a loving home is truly insane and should not be caring for animals.

Amazing Experience

This is an absolutely INCREDIBLE organization! Teri is a true force of nature who swung into action when a friend connected me with them on behalf of a very scared and neglected rescue dog that found me on a cold, rainy night in December. I had a vet appointment the very next day, and they have helped me get this rescue puppy back to health. I had no idea they existed, and, as a true animal lover, I am so deeply grateful to their very loving care for Teddy. The office staff at Shipp's Animal Hospital is so kind and caring. I'm incredibly impressed with everyone connected to The Amanda Foundation. Teddy is now healthy, neutered, and has found himself his forever home and pack. THANK YOU TERI, SHIPP'S, AND THE AMANDA FOUNDATION!

Best rescue organization ever!

I volunteer at the Amanda Foundation and I was in their parking lot on my way home when I witnessed the incident Kathleen M describes....only I saw something very different. The foundation was closing for the day, that's why I was leaving and so were several of the staff
including Ms. Austin, when this crazed woman screeched into the parking lot, jumped out of her car
screaming ""where do you think you're going?"" She then
started to berate the staff because ""she left her
church group early to pick up her pet and they better
give him to her"". She was extremely rude, the staff looked shocked and the only profanity I heard was
this woman calling the staff ""f***$ B**&#tches"".
I volunteer at Amadna regularly and I see all types come in for service, some nice, some not so nice.
This woman had some kind of anger problem and
was very unpleasant. I hope she's nicer to the dog she was picking up! I love the Amanda Foundation, I have seen so many people adopt from them that become
total fans. You can tell how caring and kind the staff
is to all the pets they take care of. I would urge anyone to come and volunteer! They are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year! I don't know any other rescue that
has that kind of access.

The Amanda Foundation came to Santa Ana do a free nueter/Spay I took my 10 month old Rottie. My dog did not make it, the Amanda foundation asked if they can do an autopsy on my dog i agreed because i wanted to know what exactly happened. Apparently he had a tumor, we thought we had a healthy 10 month old rottie. SO it just goes to show you never know. Since then they have been very helpful they offered to get him cremated for us even gave us his paw print that we are going to use to get a tattoo of our baby boy. We will always miss our Romo
