I loved the food. They have good selection of wine too. I'll go back again for special occasions. Good service also.

I discovered this place through Groupon and I'm glad I did. Allow your eyes time to adjust when you first walk in. The building is small and intimate. The staff are very attentive, nice, and polite. The food was delicious. We ordered the Eggplant Stuffed with Angel hair and Seafood Linguine with Diavolo Sauce. Yummy! The Eggplant was a definite winner and the seafood linguine was one of the best I've ever had. The sauce was lite but not bland and had the perfect amount of spice. Reason for -1 star is because I thought the prices could have been a bit better (a glass of Pinto Grigio was $15) and I didn't like the fact that the "service fee"/tip was included on the bill and filled out for you when you pay with credit. Other than that... I'd definitely recommend this place to a friend.
The lobster pasta was really, really good. Awesome hand-made pasta and a healthy-sized, full lobster - not some cheap, pathetic excuse of a lobster tail. Service was excellent - the right amount of attentiveness without pretentiousness. The pumpkin ravioli was good but not great. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy night so we couldn't see the stars but romantic nonetheless.
Went there on my husband's birthday. Very romantic atmosphere and great service. Ordered off-menu food our waiter recommended and my husband really liked them. Tip: the view is even nicer when it's completely dark, so if you're someone like me who would do anything for great atmosphere, check the sunset time for that day before you make the reservation (which was what I did), and be sure to pick a table on the patio.
Best pasta ever at louises chicken fettuccine
Wow where do I begin? Zero stars should really be an option. Now to start I'm not critiquing their food- I was a loyal customer of their overpriced chopped salad- I loved the taste and would get suckered to pay $37 for a salad.. My review comes with the WORST customer service I have EVER witnessed! Pretentious, rude, absolutely disgusting owners, management, and policies. A colleague/friend and I were planning to have lunch and I always recommend la Scala for a chopped salad... He got their 10 minutes before me cuz I was late from work and it was raining (yes rain in la). He ordered a caprese salad and a soup so he wouldn't be taking up a table at peak hour. Eating waiting for me. I arrive 10 minutes later and no waiter came up to me. No one asked me for water or what I would like to eat. I signaled and they said sorry he sat down and we don't serve incomplete parties. I said well he has gone through a soup and salad and is a paying customer and I am joining as I was delayed and what if he ran into a friend who wanted to join spontaneously?!The waiter and manager said they would not serve me. Yes, you heard that correct. A restaurant that won't serve someone! Tables around me of regulars were also disgusted at the treatment they joined in and said give her the salad come on. Manager called the owner and even the owner said no don't take her order since she wasn't on time. Wow, I'm being punished for being stuck in rainy traffic and not dying in a car accident to try and be on time. Then I said well what if he wants to order a main dish because still hungry and they said no! They proceeded to speak low to us and said don't lie about your size of party being two instead of one- excuse me?! Lie. And it's a problem to give you more business and money why?! This is a long review because I am beyond devastated after coming here 3x a week for lunch since I work and live blocks away. I will NEVER I repeat never give this snobby establishment a dollar again. The whole town should know how they treat people like trash. Wake up- your job is to serve food- don't act high and mighty. Get over yourself- You will never be as good as il Pastaio anyway. On top of it all I left my garage parking ticket there and didn't even want to walk in and see their face so I ended up paying a lost ticket cost of 22$. Rather pay that than see people who basically spit in my face with their arrogance. Trust me, if you saw this you would never eat there again... Goodbye!
I went there and had the worst pasta ever. I LET THE MANAGER KNOW ....I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD SEND CERTIFICATE NEVER GOT IT.
Great quality, excellent consistency... Get the special, whatever it is. Staff is sincerely concerned about your dining happiness. Pasquale himself greets you at the door (not even kidding, look for the Middle Aged Italian man in jeans and t-shirt with reading glasses) This place punches way above its weight class for service and quality. Oh, and they don't like texting in here, kills the ambiance...gotta go!
Ok 5 stars doesn't even begin I would give it 5 + stars I went with my family tonight to celebrate and when we got there the server that greeted us was very friendly. Then we started looking at the menu great selection. the appetizer was delicious and we all got some pasta that was WAY TO GOOD TO SHARE!! we drank the wine our waiter suggested WOW really we let the waiter know that we really enjoyed our meal and please let the chef know as well. The Fettuccine Tartufate YUMMY. Also when we complimented the chef he gave us a complimentary dessert wine. In conclusion AMAZING !!! I think everyone should go there also it's not too noisy just in case you are looking for a great first date or a quite family dinner. Thanks Il Buco Ristorante you made our night really special.
The food was subpar, however the atmosphere was so beautiful and romantic.I definitely recommend Il Cielo for maybe after dinner dessert and coffee. We ordered the salmon. The sauce was a bit overpowering and the peas were a very awkward addition. The service was also terrible, the waiter actually spilled my wine on me (you know what that means)
