The Bayou was our favorite restaurant and we had a reservation for our second New Year's Eve. Our reservation was for 6:45 and we arrived at 6:35. We were told our table wasn't ready yet and we could wait at the bar. At 7:05 we were told our table was being cleared after we inquired about our table. At 7:10 the manager apologized for our wait and said he was giving us snacks until our table was ready. At 7:20, after not being seated or given our snacks, we decided to leave the restaurant. Also be warned that the Bayou listed us as a "no show" on Opentable.com.
Loved their chicken & rib combo!!!! I go their regularly...I'm so hooked. I definitely recommend this place for take out only as their eating space is pretty small.
This pub is in the same building as the ice rinks and so is usually crowded with lots of hockey families. It's a wide open space with lots of steel and concrete. In the nice weather there is a large garage type door that opens onto a patio with ample outdoor seating. The food is moderately priced typical pub food. Burgers, Brats, chicken wings and fingers, hot dogs, sandwiches, soups and salads. There are daily food and beer specials and on the weekends there is live music. This is a fun family restaurant during the day, while providing entertainment for adults in the evenings. The bar staff knows most everyone from the rink and are very friendly and accommodating.
