I am very happy with my experience with RichMar Florist. I contacted them pretty late in the game as far as wedding planning is concerned, and Jonathan got back to me immediately and scheduled a time that was convenient for me to come in to their main warehouse in Allentown. I was given a quick tour and some time to look around upstairs, where they had several rooms full of suggested wedding arrangements for inspiration. I wasn't totally sure what I wanted, but Jonathan took the time out to go over what my options were. He was familiar with the wedding venue and was very honest with me about what I did NOT need to purchase based upon the layout of the place. We sat down with a book full of pictures of the different varieties of roses. I was amazed with the large number of choices, and was able to come up with exactly what I had in mind for the bouquets and the bouttonieres. I also needed two larger arrangements for the pillars used for the ceremony. I saw something in one of the rooms upstairs that gave me an idea, and as vague as my description seemed, those arrangements were EXACTLY what I had envisioned. They definitely are very experienced and passionate about what they do. Jonathan was very friendly and very accommodating. I would recommend RichMar Florist to anyone!
On Monday, February 13 I ordered flowers for my 90 year old grandmother through 1-800 Flowers who contracted Rich Mar. The flowers were attempted to be delivered that day, however my grandmother did not yet have a room number assigned. By 12pm a room number was provided to the florist. Delivery was never reattempted, though I paid for same day delivery. The next day at around 3pm, the flowers were delivered - with two names missing from the card. The flower arrangement that I paid $75 looks droopy and sad, it had four roses in the entire arrangement, whereas the picture had at least a dozen. Disappointing is an understatement - highway robbery is more accurate. When I saw that the two names were missing, I called Rich Mar directly. The man that I spoke with said that they would get another bunch out in the morning with the two names that they had left off, and blamed 800-Flowers for the mix up. At 4:30 the next day - still no flowers. I called and the less than understanding lady told me that the office was closed. I called 800-flowers to ask them about the names on the cards and the correctly relayed back to me. I have ordered from 800-flowers 20 times in the last two years, and this has never happened, the only thing different was Rich Mar. They completely messed up. I would never recommend them. I can't believe that somebody would trust them with their wedding when they couldn't get names on a card correct and completely lied to me about redelivering. DISHONEST and INCOMPETENT.

I received flowers as a gift and, fortunately, the people who sent the flowers also sent me a picture of the flowers that were advertised. What I received was a clump of flowers stuck in a dollar store vase. The advertisement showed a beautiful arrangement with 4-5 times the amount of flowers in a beautiful vase. In addition, no flower food was provided.
My friends then requested a replacement be sent. When it arrived Rich Mar wanted the old bouquet back and the replacement bouquet was even smaller than before, droopy and still no flower food! The vase looked more similar to the one advertised, but it was certainly far less spectacular in person. No apologies were ever made. When I called to complain they insisted I'd received it as advertised, but then he admitted he had never seen the arrangement I received or the advertised picture. I emailed him the pictures, which obviously showed a huge difference in both size and quality. When Rich Mar received the pictures, they acknowledged nothing, just suggested we contact FTD for a refund since they hadn't charged my friend's credit card.
When my friends contacted FTD they said they would have flowers resent from another florist and stop dealing with Rich Mar. Thank goodness!
This place is a complete rip-off. I am a very conscious shopper, and hate when business's attempt to swindle people. Rich Mar Florist is a business who only cares about dollar signs. They attempt to cheat you right in your face!
I went into Rich Mar Florist to get a dozen red roses for my wife. I was undecided if I should have them delivered, or give them myself. I asked the young girl at the counter what my options were. She said I could have them boxed, or in a vase. To get them in a vase at the store, it would $39 + tax. Not bad right?
I then asked her how much it would be to have that same vase with 12 red roses delivered, and she told me it would be $55 + a $9 delivery fee + tax. I said what in the hell? So they charge me $16 more, to simply say I want them delivered, and on top of it, charge a $9 delivery fee?
The girl at the counter understood how angry I was, and she said that she doesn't know why they made that kind of price. She was the only thing pleasant about my experience at Rich Mar. She was kind, and courteous, but I will never, ever set foot in that store again, and will advise others against it.
I would understand if the delivery fee was a bit higher, but to try and rip an extra $16 dollars out of me by simply marking up the price on the SAME item, is ridiculous!
Rich Mar florist only cares about ripping people off.
The prices listed in store are our cash and carry specials. We offer lower prices for pick-up. Our delivery service is considered a premium service and does entail higher fees for that. I am sorry the clerk did not explain that.
