Finally got a chance to try Big Guys and had their Big Guy burger. The hamburger had a home cook taste to it , very filling. I will be going back.
I was mistakenly charged $1.20 to "supreme" my order which I did not want. The order taker apologized and went to get his manager. After some time, when the manager finally came, the first thing she tells me is to give her back the tacos. I was surprised and taken aback! instead of apologizing for the mistake she treated me like I was bothering her. I proceeded to tell her what went wrong. After waiting for some time, she gives me .76 cents. I told her she owed me $1.20 plus tax which it clearly stated on my receipt that was the amount I was overcharged. I asked for my receipt back and showed her the one item that showed I was charged $1.20. This woman refused to admit she was wrong even when her employees told her that how she was calculating it was wrong. She finally had one of her employees give me the $1.20 BUT NOT the tax I paid for it.I didn't care about the $1.20 and tax. The whole point was that this INCOMPETENT manager kept arguing with me about the stupid mistake that they made instead if apologizing for it!!! And when I asked for them to refund me the tax, she threatened to call the police! Really??!!! That is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED and over a measly $1.20 plus tax. Needless to say I never got the tax back BUT TACO BELL HAS LOST A CUSTOMER WHO's kids loved it and often requested to eat there....NOT ANYMORE. TACO BELL YOU NEED TO HIRE COMPETENT managers who have some common sense and have at least a small amount of customer service savvy....otherwise you're going to lose a lot of market share.
Best burgers! Great onion rings! Wonderful frozen custards! Too bad the salads are so awful
Been eating at RedTop since it opened in the 70's after it was a gas station. They have the best deep fried tacos on the planet. The hotdogs and fries are also as food as anyones.Great malts and shakes, gravy bread etc... I live in the western suburbs and anytime I pass thru Berwyn a stop at RedTop is a must.
I will agree with all the good comments. I've eaten there on and off for years. I notice for the most part that the food tastes very much the same from Czech place to Czech place. The dumplings are always from Josies on 39Th and Oak Park in Stickney, IL and that is not bad. The fruit dumplings are from there as well. I buy them there myself from the frozen section. I suspect that most of the food is already cooked and brought in frozen. Again, not a bad thing. The only item on any of the Czech menus that will vary is the saur kraut. Some is better than others. Riverside Restaurant, Little Europe, Westchester Restauant are more or less the same and nice places to eat. There are a few others in the area and again, much the same, but still very good. The duck is very good and prepared quickly because it is deep fried and not baked. All that fat turns me off, but I still eat it once in a while because it is that good. Try making this food at home and it will make preparing a traditional Thanksgiving meal seem like child's play. Still, a very good value meal.
they changed owners a couple years back, and the quality dropped soon after...the bread diameter has gotten smaller and the amount of meat is less also...not all subway stores are the same and this one is definitely way below par...ive given them so many visits because it is my local subway...but they continue to disappoint on quality...turn around and go to mr submarine , they still give value on a 5 dollar king sandwiche..
