Midsun Specialty Products Inc, based in Berlin, Connecticut, is a manufacturer of self-fusing silicone rubber tape products. The company was founded on the premise that if one firm could focus their attention on producing just one product with concentrated effort, the result would be the highest quality product at an affordable price. We have achieved just that! We manufacture more self-fusing silicone tape in more colors, shapes, widths, thicknesses and sizes than anyone else in the industry. Our quality assurance program, and our experienced team of plant and engineering personnel allow us to provide our customers with not only an excellent product, but excellent support as well. Many believe that self fusing silicone tape is a new product. This is not the case. In fact, state and municipal utilities have been using it in electrical applications for years. At one time the military was the primary purchaser of this product. It was through their experiences that the incredible versatility of this product was discovered. Throughout all branches of the Armed Services, self-fusing silicone tape has been field tested in the harshest possible conditions. They even nicknamed it "F-4 tape" because it was used extensively on the F-4 Phantom Fighter jet. Midsun Specialty Products' tapes are manufactured from a specially formulated silicone rubber compound and can be manufactured to any customer specific specification, inlcuding U.S. Military Spec AA-59163 ( formerly MIL I 46852C ).
