Stopped by this new place and was very impressed. They are not open yet but the venue, the location and the management were ideal! Looking forward to visiting as I love pasta and their other specialty will be pizza. Ann from San Lorenzo
We found this cool place while returning from the bay and almost went somewhere else. I'm so glad we didn't as the food was really good, plus there is a nice vegan cinnabon place a few doors down. Man, what a perfect combination. We tried the Vegan California Burger, Vegan Breakfast Burrito, Vegan BBQ Ranch Chicken Burger, and Onion Rings. The waitress was really sweet too. She gave a sample of one of their vegan deserts which we would have purchased had we not already eaten some previously. Great spot - great food!!
We had a fabulous dinner at the legendary Chez Panisse. It more than lived up to the hype. We ate in the "cafe" upstairs where you have more menu choices than the downstairs restaurant. I had the grilled porcini mushrooms with chicories, crispy polenta, cannellini beans and Parmesan. Everything on the menu sounded delicious. Of course we had to try the wonderful desserts as well.
Saturn Cafe is a really good vegetarian/vegan restaurant near the Berkeley campus. They have a great menu, offering sandwiches, salads, and entrees. I had the portobello burger that was delicious. The decor is like an old-fashioned diner.
Not too expensive and close to campus so it was, of course, filled with students. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I ordered a Greek salad and my companions got the calzones. The calzones were huge and delicious as was the salad. The pastas looked great as well.
Rated BBB (beers, burgers, bloody mary's). This is a mini chain restaurant that will lawe success and expansion. As mentioned with the BBB stamp this place is a great choice if you want burgers and beer... They have dozens of beers on tap and all served perf curly chilled. There is a location on concord now as well.
Good food, understaffed. They didn't have enough menus for us, when we got our food they didn't give us utensils and we had to get them ourselves. Yummy food though!
i like their food but even that does not make up for their poor service. they either ignore you or are rude to you here.
We had Vegi-fried rice that was amazing and Kung-pow tofu that was very good. (not spicy enough for amazing). Everything was hot and tasted really good. Two of us got out of there for $32 including a beer and appatizer. Very good service! I would highly recommend.
