I came into UC Hair Salon and I was very satisfied with service that I chose. They are friendly and she was able to help me find a hair style and a new color that fit me. I am so excited with this new hairstyle that I plan on returning.

I definitely recommend this place if you want a fast, thorough job. It’s true that you're not paying for the ambiance or customer service, but I got my legs and extended bikini done and I have never had a faster (and therefore less painful) wax. And she didn't go back over with tweezers because she didn't have to; she got everything the first time. Very impressed!

I went in for a fast chest and back wax. That's what I got. The woman waxing me was fast courteous and efficient at her job. No frills but no Jibe either. She even offered me a Brazilian but I said "Not today sister." I just might go back in a little while and try it.

Everything is so clean here, which of course is how it should be for my waxing procedure. I will never go anywhere else.

Shadia is absolutely amazing! Brazilians are painful, no doubt, but Shadia does them in record time and can carry on a conversation no problem at the same time! The staff is amazing and I always come here for my waxing needs

Got my first brazilian wax here! It wasn't too expensive because i got a coupon here for 50% off. It was quick and almost painless. And since its so close to campus I definitely recommend UC Hair Salon!

Shadia gives great women's haircuts for really cheap prices. I wouldn't recommend the other stylists - I've tried them when Shadia isn't around (which is pretty often - she's usually just around later in the day), and they were just mediocre. But Shadia definitely has talent. I used to get my hair cut at fancy salons ($60 or more for a haircut), but the grad student budget got tight and I decided to try the cheaper end of the hair salon spectrum. Shadia is probably more talented than most of the people who work at more expensive salons. Highly recommended.

This was my third time getting my haircut here and my first time getting a back wax here. I had also brought my friend who was in need of a fade, here for the first time. The service was great everyone was extremely nice. The haircuts were both great and perfect, not a hair out of place. The wax was great, the lady is extremely nice and makes you feel very comfortable. The wax took no more than 10 minutes and all of the hair was gone (just as I wanted). Best place in Berkeley, definitely going back

It was my first time at this salon last week. I came in for a hair cut. I went from long hair, to shoulder length. They did a wonderful job, and did exactly what I wanted. I couldn't be happier. I feel and look great! Thanks.

First off, the salon is very chic and it just makes me feel better when I am getting professional services done to have the place I'm going to, be up to date with trends and look more on the modern side. The music is MY kind of music and it makes the experience that much greater! I feel like I'm listening to my iPod favorites playlist! Now for the service... fantastic! I LOVE the lady who does my waxing! She does my wax just the way I like it. I've had other workers as well who were good too but she's my personal fave. Even though not mentioned as a description, I always feel like I just received a mini facial from them!

Really appreciate the perm last weekend I was in dire need of one. Your staff was extremely friendly and very pleasant to deal with. I left a large tip with the stylist because she did such a fantastic job. I can't wait to get my hair done here again.

I come here at least twice a month. They do a fantastic job with my hair every appointment. The staff is very cordial and gregarious and we always have a good time when ever I visit. I really like this salon and would recommend it to anyone.

I really enjoy coming to UC Hair Salon. The stylists are very welcoming and know the trends for different hair lengths. I recently cut my hair and I love the style I feel like a new person.
