Located in Berkley, Calif., The Greenlining Institute is a multiethnic advocacy, research, leadership development and public policy forming organization. The organization works to empower low-income group individuals in California and improve the quality of life for communities. It operates the Greenlining Academy, which was founded in 1996 and offers a range of leadership training programs for high school, college and graduate students. The organization also offers a green asset program, an environment care movement that generates assets for low-income communities. It provides various legal advocacy services that include environmental justice, technology access, and small business development and technical assistance.
