Lauren has been amazing, really working with me and helping me get healthier. She always listens and is completely honest with me. Stephanie is also always very nice and attentive.
Lauren Greenhaw has been my family's primary caregiver for years. She and the entire staff at Wellquest are consistently thorough, tender, and sincerely care about all patients.
First they billed the wrong insurance, then coded the visit wrong the next time.did a conference call with Wellquest and my insurance company, and supposedly had it fixed. And just got a letter from a collection agency due to their mistakes. This is an awesome clinic if you are looking for incompetent billing, bad customer service and people who only care about money and not correcting their mistakes.
Very dissatisfied with the appointment process. After sitting on hold for several minutes, I tried to make an appointment for a wellness exam. In order to make an appointment they required I provide a Social Security number. My name and DOB was not sufficient. They pulled up my information by my maiden name. I explained that was very old and my last name is now "XYZ". So they tell me that I need to speak to their billing dept. Again, eternal hold, then they guy asks for my social again, although I told him that the appointment was just set up in their system under "XYZ"...Not good enough again. I hesitated, but gave my SSN once again. He pulled up my information, and refered to me by my maiden name (over 7 years ago) and previous address (3 moves ago). I which clinic had I visited to have this information on file. All clinics I had visited in the area, were since I had been married. About 2 years ago, I had issues with a identity scam based on my maiden name and that address, so I immediately told him I was finished with this conversation and would be canceling the appointment. I called the clinic back and was placed on hold forever again. Finally got through and cancelled the appointment. One month later I received a confirmation call for the appointment. I called them back to tell them I had already cancelled the appointment. Eternal hold again (HIRE HELP TO ANSWER YOUR PHONES!!!!) They couldn't find me. Stupid me, I was using my married name....my name for over 7 years. Again, needed my SSN to look up my information. I see no reason to EVER require a person to provide their SSN over the phone to set up an appointment. The whole process was a huge hassle and I will never use a Mercy affiliated clinic due to this ordeal.
Had first visit, given a new Rx and a referral to another specialist. Referred to another mercy clinic that isn't taking new patients in the foreseeable future and said to check back in a year. Also there was only one dr. at that clinic that was on my blue cross plan and she does strictly pediatrics. This office absolutely refuses to refer me to any of the many other available doctors that are on my blue cross plan because they are not Mercy doctors! This is ridiculous and illegal! I also had a severe reaction to the new RX and cannot take it and their response was that's to bad and we'll see you in 3 months at your next appointment, so I'm left with nothing for pain.
I was sent here for a simple drug screen by my future employeer. I've never been to this clinic but currently go to other Mercy facilities and am in good standing yet this clinic found me in their system then called the supervisor to look at her screen. After some laughing the lady informed me they could not see me even for a pre-employment drug screen and would not explain the reason. They embarrassed and disrespected me as well as treating me indignantly while amusing themselves at my expense. This has cost me an Approx. $60,000.00 a year job with no explanation. I checked the Mercy system and was told I am in good standing . Mercy as a whole has been great to deal with but I certainly would not recommend this clinic!
The absolute most horrifying experience I have had at a doctor's office. I had a reaction to the medication prescribed and called the office at 8:15am. By 4pm there was no resolution and I was in severe pain. Went to the office to be told I would have to schedule and man an appointment. That, did not set well. Finally saw a doctor at 5:45pm to be told sorry, we are understaffed. That is not the patients problem when a negative reaction happens to a patient prescribed by the WellQuest office. The doctor tried to charge for an office visit. That, did not go well either. I will not be back.
Definitely DO NOT GO HERE. I came in with a severe sore throat to have the nurse practitioner, (I won't mention any names) take a look and say --only two things can cause this.... strep or mono.-- Rapid strep test was negative and the nurse said that a throat culture would be sent to the lab to do another strep test because sometimes the rapid tests are false. I was on spring break from college and needed to know whether it was strep or mono before leaving for school to know whether I should actually leave for school! She said the results would be here by Sunday at the latest. Luckily (or so I thought), she gave me a prescription for antibiotics, which she said we would stop if it turns out to be mono. I call Sunday, and the culture isn't ready yet. I call again Sunday, and it's still not ready yet. I call 2 more times and they don't even pick up the phone in the lab. I started feeling better anyway and so head to school. I call Monday, and they say that it's still not ready call again Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm already at school mind you, I would have missed a LOT of class just waiting for the results. I call Wednesday and the lab guy says all we can do is wait. I get a call an hour later and they say THE THROAT CULTURE WASN'T EVEN DELIVERED TO THE LAB!!!!! What in the WORLD? The nurse who took my appointment didn't call to personally apologize or anything. It was someone else who said she sends her apologies. SERIOUSLY? If it turned out to be mono, I would have had an amoxicillin rash by now. Or if it was something else viral, I would have just been killing off all the other bacteria in my body. Thank God it was some bacterial infection that I will never know what it is now and thank God the nurse did prescribe some medicine or I definitely would have gotten MUCH worse since the results wouldn't have even come in. So. Be careful. Save yourself some trouble and don't go here. ------Here's an update a couple of weeks later.... Turned out it was mono. I DID get an amoxicillin rash. And I ended up playing a tennis match before knowing I had mono. Luckily my spleen didn't explode, which by the way, is life threatening.
Your experience will mostly depend on the visiting doctor seeing on that day. This clinic has mostly rotating physicians and very few full time ones. Wait time is less and some doctors are really good, depends on which day you go. This is not meant for a primary care physician purpose.
MEDICAL & WELLNESS are the last 2 words that I would use to describe this place. The so called "doctors" only know how to sign a prescription pad. And to top it all off, I got staph infection after being "treated" here. No diagnosis was ever offered. I was prescribed a steroid after having an allergic reaction to a anti-fungal medication that my doctor prescribed. Because steroids should never be taken with a fungal infection, I now know, after seeing a REAL PHYSICIAN that I have pneumonia. So basically, I went to WellQuest because it was open on a Sunday and after forking out $300 + I left WellQuest with staph and pneumonia. Does that equal health & wellness in your book?????????
