At West Mountain Animal Hospital in Bennington, VT, we believe that one of the most important aspects of caring for your pet's health is vaccinating him or her against possible diseases. There are a variety of diseases which affect our pets, and other animals, so proper vaccination is vital to protecting them from many types of illnesses.
Veterinary Ophthalmology
Dr. Ames joined the WMAH family in July 2018 and brings with her 3 years of knowledgeable medical care and excellent client service. Originally from the Albany, NY area, Dr. Ames traveled to the Midwest to attend the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with honors in 2015. Her compassionate care and strong work ethic make her well-suited for our practice. Her special interests include internal medicine and ophthalmology. Outside of work she enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, camping, kayaking, playing soccer, as well as spending time with her family and friends. She shares her home with her boyfriend, Adam, and her gregarious orange and white cat, “DiNozzo.”
Nutritional Counseling
Obesity is a common problem among pets, as it can be easy to overfeed a cute dog or cat that knows how to beg. Being overweight is a serious problem for animals, and can cause real health problems. With proper diet and exercise, all pets should be able to meet their dietary needs and stay within a healthy weight range.
Comprehensive Examination
