Booked though in the first week of June 2017, cancelled the reservation on 6/14 for a upcoming trip planned for the 3rd & 4th of July. Plenty of time, received confirmation that it was cancelled on the 15th. So this hotel still charged me 1 nights rate for being a "no-show" and then credited me back only half the amount. Claiming I changed the reservation, which I did nothing of the sort which expedia verified. Rude front desk staff was no help at all. I could hear allot of background noise and asked was she listening to me, her response was she was talking to someone else. I tried to explain and every time this woman would talk over me. I asked her to please let me finish, which she continued to not listen and then she hung up on me. I called back to ask if she purposely hung up and she confirmed , Yes she did because shes had enough and I can just call the Manager "Christina" in the morning.and hung up on me again. This property is scamming me out of my money. They claim on 7/2 they called my number and someone told them we still wanted an accommodated room . Makes absolutely no sense why someone from the hotel to call me on 7/02 when the cancellation was a month prior 6/14. when I got the message that "some hotel" called to see if I still needed that room. I called the hotel we ended up staying at to see if someone had called me. They said no, so I didn't give it a second thought. I double checked the email confirmation of the cancellation and reassured myself that I had taken care of everything. Came back from my trip and noticed the hotel charge and the fight has been on ever since. This hotel is keeping my money and could care less to resolve the matter with me, knowing they had no right to take my money. I guess common sense doesn't work at the econolodge. Buyer beware of holding a reservation through this hotel, call the property (which do not list their number on site) if you cancel here to make sure they are not dipping into your account.
