I shopped here about a month ago and was treated disrespectfully as well. I've never experienced customer service like this before. It was as if they did not want me to shop with them. anyway I bought a belt and some shoes that I liked but didn't love ( It is very difficult to find a nice pair of shoes in bend ). I decided to try online shopping at Nordstrom and found a pair that I loved. naturally I tried to return the shoes that I had originally purchased from Roberts, but was declined, they told me they could not resell them because that had been worn. If a shoe is considered worn once it is tried on before buying then yes, they were worn, other then that I hadn't even tried them on in my house. I wasn't even able to argue my defense before I had all three employees come on so strongly with me I was practically run out of the store. this was a very odd experience for me and I don't think I would recommend anyone shop there
Ouch, the prior response was truly unfounded and plain old vindictive.I tried to resolve any perceived issues the commenting vendor had as she reported me to the better business bureau. I have been a downtown business owner for over 26 years and have never had a complaint. My two prior business's are still in business. At The Beach and Periwinkle (Home) one for 26 years and the other for 21 years. Periwinkle is now in Sisters. This vendor had a 4 month contract to have a space in Tres Jolie, her contract expired months before my asking her to pick up her merchandise. She never proved to me that she actually made her product. It looked very store bought to me. She had a shelf about 30" wide by 6' tall for 100.00 per month plus 15% of sales. I never raised her rent. We did however, make a needed transition to more of a merchant/vendor environment as we needed people who could work hours as we weren't making it paying employees. I am sorry she has sour grapes however, her comments are not true and therefore it made it next to impossible to resolve her issue. We have had many vendors come and go as it is very difficult to find people who are serious about business and keep inventory stocked etc. I explained to the complaintant that she wasn't making money as her sales weren't much more than her rent and percentage. She needed to be doing at least 500.00 per month every month to make it worth her while. Also her product was very Fredricks of Hollywood and didn't fit with the vintage theme of the store.I have worked with many customers and employees and have never come across such a problem child. We have many artisans that have been with us since we started in Dec. of 2010. Sincerely,Jennifer White. I have turned the operation of the shop over to Alica and Sheri as they are the main vendors of the front section of the shop. So if you are wanting a place to have a shop in the best location of downtown Bend contact them at 541-388-8575.
