If you don't call them regularly, they will close your contract and take everything you gave them - your money and your items. They don't even call you to tell you they're closing your contract. Life happens, and people are human. We sometimes forget or lose track of time. The LEAST they can do is call us before they cancel the contract and give us a chance to get our stuff and money back. They don't, and they merely cite the contract and say you're in the wrong if you want your things. I get that they have a lot of clients, but calling you before they cancel your contract is not too much to ask. If you're okay with hounding them regularly for your money, maybe try it. I would have come back, brought them more stuff to sell, but they lost me for life because they refused to give me back what I feel is mine, contract or not.
Took my Mac into the BELLINGHAM, WA store on 7/14/15. This was done AFTER I had spent more than a hour on the phone with Applecare troubleshooting it to find out what was wrong with it. Apple told me that the HD Utility drive needed to be repaired by an Authorized Apple Repair Provider. Took the Mac in and told them this. Was told that my Mac had recall on some models made the year mine was (2011). Heard nothing for 3 days from them. On fourth day, I called them to ask what the status of Mac was. Was told that they could not get the computer to fail for the recall problem. Asked them 5-6 times if they had checked the Mac for reason that I brought it in (it kept rebooting itself then stopped booting up). Never got a straight answer from them even when I asked for a straight yes or no answer. Gave them 4 hours to check the computer and give me a call back with some answers. Funny. Two hours later they called me back to tell me that they were having the same problem that I had brought it in for. Apple had told me that I might loose all my data on the hard drive, so I took my external HD with most of my info on it to have that info replaced onto the Mac. They wanted to know if I wanted them to use that info to put back on the HD.When I picked up my Mac from them today (7/21), I noticed that the USB receiver for my wireless remote was missing from the side of the computer. They tried to tell me that I had not left it in the port. I told them that there was not any reason for me to have removed it since I did not have the computer. Told them that for me to check the mouse and come back was not a convenient nor easy thing to do. I had to take an hour and a half ferry ride plus drive another hour both to and from the facility. The repair manager, Kevin, told me that he could replace the mouse if I wanted him to. I told him yes since it was a brand new mouse that I had purchased the week before. He wanted to charge me a $39 fee for working on the computer. Didn't really want to pay that but was willing to. Told Kevin that it didn't matter if I paid that fee or not , I was going to give a negative review either way since no one bothered to enter the info into their computer that I brought my Mac in for. Don't think that he realized that I saw him give me the stink eye before deciding to replace the mouse and fix the Mac for free.I would not recommend this store to anyone. If I have problems with my Mac again while I am in the Western Washington area, I will take it to an Apple Store where I know that I can get quality service without getting the stink eye. Unfortunately for me the nearest Apple Store was an additional two and a half hours away.
This place has assisted me in checking on prices online. And, may have helped me from getting played on what I sell my piano for at a different location. So, if you're to sell your items anywhere. Sell them with Stewart's, they'll work their hardest to get the best deal for you on your consignment. No matter what the item might be.
