I have gone to Salon Juno for Japanese Thermal Straightening for years and have also loved the Keratin treatment. When I passed the Bellevue store, I noticed it was closed. Does anyone have Dean's current contact information? Is he still performing the treatments? Thanks!

I went to Salon Juno for Thermal Straightening with Dean and this is my first time with him as I used to see someone else who had left Salon Juno. After waiting for 3 days before shampooing my hair, my hair was fried and had a lot of breakage after the first wash. I called Dean and he said he can fix it by applying some Keratin treatment in the problem areas. So I went in the same week and waited another 2 days before washing my hair. Well, it made no difference and my hair is now in even worse shape. I went to another salon for a hair cut as I don't know what else to do with the damaged hair other than trying to trim off as much as possible and they told me the straightening treatment was done every unevenly and there is nothing I can do other than waiting for it to grow out. Now I am out $480 and have to deal with damaged hair. Very disappointed and I will never go back there.

I got the thermal straightening done on Halloween day. Dean spent a lot of time explaining the process and putting me at ease. He was very attentive and concerned about the condition of my hair, and went out of his way to make sure I got what I wanted (straight, wash and wear hair) while also making sure I didn't not sustain damage. I've had my straight hair now for 5 weeks, and I can't say how happy I am to have no-fuss hair, healthy-looking hair. It has saved me so much time in the mornings, as I do nothing, but my hair still looks polished. I definately recommend Salon Juno/Dean (actually I've told all my friends). Dean even charged me what I thought was a very good price. He has so much experience doing this process, but didn't take my arm and leg in the process. Great service, nice professional, upfront pricing, no pushy sales AND easy parking to boot. What more can you ask?

Juno has been doing my Thermal Reconditioning treatment for a few years now, and it just keeps getting better! He is so nice and explains everything so well and always gives me a great deal! It is so great to shower and go straight into work and never have to worry or fuss over my hair! Before when it was curly, it could definately be pretty at times, but it was a ton of work, and I always had to plan my day around my hair. Not anymore! :-)

I always love my haircuts from Joy and everyone that I have referred says they same about all of her hair services. You know you are being treated special when you get a relaxing scalp massage with your haircut. I still laugh about the time a single male friend of mine had two admiring women come up to give him there phone numbers the same day after he got a haircut by her. I have also seen before and after pictures of some of the work she done on several female clients and all I can say is WOW! From one of your happy clients, Michael

I was struggling with my frizzy hair for a long time. I tried Keratin Complex but it started to revert after 2 months, and after that I still had to use flat iron to get rid of frizz.
After Dean did my permanent hair straightening at Juno Salon, my hair are straight, shiny, and I don't have frizz anymore.
I was a little worried about this process that it could damage my hair, but it was not the case. My hair are still healthy even though they were dyed and highlighted previously.

Dean is amazing...I originally went to him for a thermal relaxer treatment recommended by another salon, which turned out to have bad effects after my hair was colored by the other salon. It was NOT Dean's fault, but he undertook fixing the situation and totally got my hair back to better than new condition! I subsequently went back to my natural color, a smart move, and my hair is in the best condition its ever been in, thanks to Dean's help. He was generous with his time and expertise, and has since been the person I use for cuts, relaxers, products, etc...I HIGHLY recommend Salon Juno to anyone!

Dean has been my stylist for the last 8 years. He is always does a great job on my haircuts and in the last year coloring my hair. I always feel confident letting him pick out the colors and it always turns out great. His haircuts are also wonderful and grow out nicely, which helps since I am not able to make it back to see him whenever I want to. I have recommended him to a lot of my friends and once they see him they always go back to him!
I just wanted to make people aware they may be spending too much on thermal reconditioning. I have been getting thermals for four years now and was paying $750 for the service at one of the big fancy chains in the area. I was so afraid of someone might damage my hair I continued paying too much until I was layed off. Unfortunately the roots don't stop coming in and I needed to look my best for job interviews. I called around and researched salons and the products they use. I chose Salon Juno because they use the genuine Japanese products and have a lot of experience. I ended up saving $250 and my hair looks as good as it ever has. Dean did a great job and was quite efficient
I recently had my hair permanently straigtened at Salon Juno in Bellevue. I can hardly believe it is my hair. I was always envious when I would see someone with straight hair that doesn't require a flat iron. Now I am one of those people! I have two young children and without time for myself my hair always seemed to end up in a pony tail and a frizzed out one at that. My hair is much shinier and softer than before and dries straight even without drying.
I could tell Dean has a lot of experience with Japanese straighteners which allowed me to relax and enjoy the process. I highly recommend Dean at Salon Juno!

I should wrote something months ago but never did. I went in to Salon Juno for thermal straightening with Dean. He was very nice and professional. When he finished with my hair it looked AWESOME, but costing $540 plus a $90 tip, I suppose it should! I was told to wait 3 full days before washing and I did, but after washing my hair it didn't look quite the same. I had some strange waves and frizz. I was pretty disappointed and I am not the type to typically complain, so I continued flat ironing my hair. My husband told me that after paying that much money I needed to call him, so I did. He was very polite and told me that he would redo it and that maybe he hadn't left the product on my hair quite long enough. He scheduled me in that same week. When I went in he told me that he had just been trained on a new Keratin Complex straightening and that he could either repeat the process that he had done before or that we could try this new process. I asked what he recommended and he said that he would love to try the new process and that it is actually supposed to make your hair healthier. I was a little nervous, but he seemed confident. During this process your hair is flat ironed with an extremely hot iron. The initial product smelled really good, but after my hair was flat ironed it smelled to me like burning hair. I was getting really nervous, but never said anything thinking it must be normal??? By the time I left there I had spent another $60 and smelled terrible and I honestly didn't think my hair looked good at all, but figured maybe after I wash it in 3 days? The very next day I ran my fingers through my hair and you would not believe the broken hair that fell into my lap. It was extremely bad so I called Dean right away. He said well it looked good when you left yesterday, I'm sure the worst of it is over... he didn't seem to believe me at all or even care, he was very unprofessional. I had to get another haircut and still have damaged hair.

I have never had so many compliments! Since getting the Japaneese Thermal Reconditioning Process at Salon Juno my hair has never looked so good. Sometimes I don't even dry my hair with a dryer and it stays straight and smooth. No more frizz.
It was the first time a guy had done my hair so I was a little nervous. Dean was very friendly and professional which put me at ease right away.
The process can be a bit pricey but after getting consultations with stylists at other salons I realized Salon Juno was the best value for my length of hair. I was quoted up to $800 at other salons so at $500 I feel like I got a deal.
Dean was also good at explaining the process and what hair products would be best to keep my hair looking beautiful without being pushy. I can't stand high pressure sales pitches!
If you want amazing results without over paying give Salon Juno a try.

I recently had my hair straightened at Salon Juno with Dean. I was a little nervous at first because I had been going to another stylist who had recently left. They assured me that Dean was one of the best in the area at the thermal reconditioning process so I went for it. They were right! It is the best my hair has ever looked and it feels awesome. I appreciate the passion Dean has for his work. He had attended a class on the latest in products and techniques for straightening the day before I saw him. I like knowing my stylist is keeping up with technology and is finding ways to provide better results for his clients. This is a stylist I will follow anywhere!

I just had my hair thermally straightened and I love it!! I went to Shane and he is awesome. I highly recommend him. The process takes about 4 hours, but the time flies by. I am so happy I decided to do this!!! I have been using a flat iron for years and this is just so much better. It is exactly what I wanted. Salon Juno is in a great - I wouldn't go anywhere else for this process.

I have been completely transformed by the thermal reconditioning service by Karen Lee, owner of Salon Juno. My hair looks gorgeous and is so easy to take care of now. I have natually thick and curly hair, and it looks pin straight now with some quick blowdrying. This was my first encounter with the method, and I was definitely apprehensive initially. Karen Lee took the time to explain the process and assured me of her success with clients. So all you curly hairs that are looking for a change, I would highly recommend this salon.

I had my hair thermally reconditioned on Friday by Geena, the service was great and I certainly felt I was in safe hands. Geena is highly experienced and knowledgeable in her field, she described the whole process to me, what to expect and how to deal with my hair after the process.
My hair is naturally wavy, when I left it was super straight. I am so glad I had this process done it will certainly cut down on the hours I spend styling my hair.
Thank you for your wonderful service and hospitality!! I will definitely be coming back.

I have always had curly hair and wished for straight. Now I have it thanks to Geena! Since I am a perfectionist when it comes to my hair, I did a lot of research about thermal straightening and practitioners in the Seattle area. That's when I found Geena at Salon Juno. Not only is she a expert at thermal straightening, she is so sweet and has a great sense of humor. I was nervous to get the service done only because I had never done it before, but once I was I Geena's hands my nerves went away! I highly recommend Geena and thermal straightening done by her. I wish I had taken the plunge earlier! By the way my hair turned AMAZING...

I""m new to the area and I wanted to get some eyelash extentions. After I got my extentions they look great but than a little while later they began to turn sideways! I went back and Karen fixed and filled them. I told her what had happened and she told me what I could maybe do to fix them. I gave it another try and they turned sideways again! I called Karen and told her about the problem. She was short with me and woudln't give my money back and would not take them off for me! I do not want to go back to Salon Juno!

I have very thick wavy hair that is very hard to manage. I have always gone to Gene Juarez to get my hair done, but never found a stylist that I stuck with! First I would like to say THANK GOODNESS for Thermal Reconditioning and Geena! I first tried it 2 yrs. ago and my long hair was straight for the first time in my life. Before that I had always tried to straight iron it which took 2 hours but was frizzy and poofy. After calling around Salon Juno had the best price (Gene Jaurez pricing me at DOUBE!) Juno made my hair soft and Jennifer Aniston straight. It now took me about 5 minutes to fix my hair. No more worry of poof or frizz. Because I had such a great experience knowing that this product actually works I decided a year ago to cut my hair into a pixie cut which I would have never done because I was afraid of how it would grow out. I did it and loved it but am ready for my long hair. So for the last 6 months I have been growing out my hair. This is when I knew Geena would be my stylist forever. You always read in magazines how a good cut will grow out well. When I read that, I always think ""yeah right"". Well Geena gives a good cut. Every time I leave her I think, wow! Cute! But wait until 1 and 1/2 months and it is going to be at that bad growing out stage. I HAVE NOT HAD A BAD STAGE YET!!! She taught me how to style it at each stage which always looked cute. She also recommended highlights that made a world of difference. She does not push anything in fact telling me that I don't need to buy this or that because I can use the product I have at home for the same thing. She tells me to wait a little longer between cuts. I trust her. Recently she straightened my short hair painstakingly straightening each small peice to seal the cuticle instead of using a shorter process of just putting the chemical in and brushing it straight. (The straight iron makes the hair smooth and shiny.) My hair is perfect. Geena is my stylist forever! Thanks!

::revised 3-2-08 to include Geena's new contact info -- Salon Rubio 990 102nd Ave NE, #3 Bellevue, WA 98004::
I went in the first part of August to get my hair thermo straightened. My stylist was Geena, she was clear with me from the start about what to expect and the cost just in case it wasn't something I was comfortable with. She asked me what I thought would happen and then told me what would happen to my hair. It went from being curly (think Julia Roberts in the 80's) to straight (think Jennifer Aniston only not as perfect). I do not use a hair dryer, I wash every other day, apply pureology straightener, apply a shine and go. My hair would be straighter if I used a dryer but even after 3 weeks it's still very straight, I can't keep my hands off it.
If you do this, follow the instructions, do not get it wet or fiddle with it for 3 days. This will mean no showering but it's worth it. Also, apply the conditioner as recommended, I leave it in once a week over night and rinse in the morning. Geena said that if I didn't keep my hair healthy when it was time to redo it, she wouldn't if it wasn't in good shape.
Be prepared for the cost - it will cost you a lot but you're going to have amazing hair and if you want straight hair that isn't frizzy, you'll love it.
