I just came from Toby's Doors after calling to see if I could get the T-astragal on one of my french doors repaired. I was greeted and very politely cared for by one of the two women who work in the front office and was told it was possible for them to take care of my problem while I waited as long as I gave them a heads up first. I made an appointment to be there at 12:30 today and was pleased to find that it was less than 45 minutes for them to custom make what I needed (It is an old door) and install the piece all at a very reasonable price. Everyone I met at Toby's, including Toby himself, was very friendly and helpful. The best part? The door is better than it ever was.
Took two doors in to be fixed. He quoted 44 dollars for both great. Said they will be done Monday. Called Tuesday because of busy schedule to find they not done. Told they would be done in two days. Called back two days and not done. Two weeks later called and get told two,days in row that they will be done by the afternoon. Um you said that yesterday. Yet here I am waiting for the doors to be done. They havent even started them. My kids need their doors back on. Grrr. So not happy at all
Email them pictures of my doors, gave them measurements. They made the appointment to come to my house. "Never showed up, never called to say why". Not dependable! Don't go off their website! They explicitly tell you they have contracts with the city, so they have priority, and you will be left out in the cold!

Provided by DexKnowsI've done business with Toby and his company for well over 30 years. They ALWAYS have made me feel like a valued customer. If you want the job done right the first time with no hassle and no mess to clean-up afterwards, call Toby's Doors in Belen. They have professional installers and repairmen who carry the tools and parts needed to do the job right the first time.
Yes, Toby's Doors has a very nice website but I do not recommend this company (at least their Las Cruces office). Two 18 year olds showed up and I really wanted to trust them but their 1st attempt to fix my garage door lasted four hours. Plus I wrote the $65 check directly to the kid. What's that about? Of course I still wanted it fixed & wanted to get something for my money so they came back a second time and installed a whole new garage door opener ($290 minus the $65). It worked for less than a day and when I called the kid he seemed annoyed that he would have to come back and make it work again.
I've been manually putting my garage door up and down for awhile now despite buying a new opener from "Toby's Doors." The kid still hasn't come back and when I tried to call the head honcho in Albuquerque, my call was connected to the kid. I suspect there is something fishy about this company. I should have known when I called the first time and the kid answered, "Hello?" I had to ask, "Is this Toby's Doors?"
So, yeah, look elsewhere.

Provided by DexKnowsI called several different companies in the yellow pages for repair of my garage door. Toby's was prompt and able to service the same day, the repair technician was friendly and professional and got the job done. They had quoted a service call price that was very competitive and stuck by it. I will call them again and again.
