Overall

We walked out at lunch after sitting w/ menu 20 minutes, no waitress, place was not full up either. Occasional good meals, often parmesan crusted haddock, but VERY mediocre steaks, but when meals are bad they are really bad & when the cashier mindlessly asks "how was every thing" if it wasn't good don't care. Owner often seen leaning against wall oblivious to world about him.

Want a $100 meal next to a screaming baby?

This is the place. Over cooked steaks and onion rings from gfc with a wine list from 7_11.

getting far better

For decades Ed's STEAK house had no idea what a NY strip steak was or should look like/ They had substantially remodelled -- which they sorely needed-- especially bathrooms-- and meals are substantially improved. I can easily imagine, however, Slick not giving a damn about a poor meal as described in another posting (that has happened to my party more than once). The bourbon glaze is excellent. I think the prices are fair altho no bargain.

yum

I love to eat out here. We go here for our anniversary every year. I've eaten here since I was a little girl. The oak barrel steak is my favorite. Your won't leave hungry that's for sure.

Save your money....go to Mc Donald's across the street!

My sister, great aunt and I went to Ed's Steakhouse for dinner while we vacationed in Bedford. My grandparents always bragged about how great it was, although my grandfather stated that his last couple of Ed's food experiences had not been so great. My sister had been there a few months before with her in-laws and enjoyed the food. Unfortunately we had a bad experience and the management wasnt the least bit concerned to correct the problem. My sister ordered scallops with garlic mashed potatoes, my aunt ordered jumbo shrimp and I ordered filet tips with garlic mashed potatoes. When our meals came my sisters dinner was pathetic! There were 4 dried out broiled scallops with instant, cold garlic mashed potatoes. I couldnt believe the chef wasnt embarrassed to send such a meal out of his kitchen. When my sister asked our waitress if this was how the meal was suppose to look she said yes. Dawn asked for the food to be returned and said shed pay for the side salad (which was only lettuce) that came with her meal. To my amazement when the bill came we were indeed charged for the side salad! To make matters worse no one from the management team came over to see if they could make things right. As a matter of fact when we left there were 6 restaurant staff standing around the hostess stand and no one said a thing. My suggestion...go to Mc Donalds across the street and save your money!
