Took my cat in last month when she was crying in pain where she had to spend the night. I called every 2 hours to check up on her. The staff never got annoyed with me calling and was always very helpful. Dr. Hart saved her life and made me feel very comfortable.

We have taken our Yorkies to Dr. Hart in the past, but this last time was the Last!! My female yorkie had 4 pups and gave the mother worms, as I had the mother, father and the 4 pups treated and their nails clipped while I was there. The very next day I had to call Dr. Hart's office back as the mother yorkie could not walk on her right front paw. When I called them concerned as we were not sure if they cut her nail too close or that she was having an allergic reaction to the medication that she was given. I was told to bring her in and they would take a look. When my husband suggested that maybe they cut her nails too close they denied it and said that she must have fallen and that they wanted to take x-rays to make sure for addtional fee of course. As we denied wanting x-rays because we were sure that it was because of the nail cutting she gave the mother yorkie an anti inflamatory and sent us on our way. After 24 hours of goig to the vet twice it was well over $400.00 and they couldn't even admit that they might have cut her nails too close. When I called Dr. Hart and placed my concerns about it, she said that she had a very loyal team and they would not do that. I explained her that we are all human and it could have been an error, she got very loud and rude with me.... So, with all of that said, I will NEVER take my precious animals back to her again. Dr. hart is one of the most non-caring vets I know, not to mention she does not take any of her profits to buy cleaner for her office.

*BEWARE* you need to check this so called vet out, shes being sued all over the place and IS NOT operating as a business should. She doesnt pay taxes and in fact has NO workers comp on her employees. Its all a matter of public record CHECK IT OUT She did a lot of harm to my YITTLE MAN and I reported her to the licensing board and I just received the settlement agreement. She has to pay almost $13,000.00 in fines and repayment for investigations and she lost her license for 3 months. In my opinion its not enough. CHECK HER OUT ON CUYAHOGA COUNTY WEBSITE she has so many cases BEWARE Dr. Lisa Hart Is one of the WORST vets I ever been to. I should have known after she over vaccinated my life (my Yorkie). Its my opinion she's money hungry because she aggreed to refund my money but never did and now refuses. The fact that she won't face me after giving her another chance tells me what kind of person she is. I took my guy back giving her this second chance and what a MISTAKE. She told me that he had an ear infection and treated it as such, he even had a second visit. The SO CALLED dr never even looked at him. She told me that if the drops didnt work the next course of action was anti biotics well having walking phnemonia I called and informed them that the drops were not working and thatI was to sick to come in could they call in the anti biotics and I would bring him in when I felt better which would only be days well the receptionist said she would not do that. So I said have her call me well I never got a call back (which has happened before and I had to call back) Well not being totally happy I thought that this would be a good time to change vets and to my utter disbelief I went to a highly reccomended vet only to find out that my baby had a tumor growing in his ear. After the new vet showed me the other ear and a chart anyone could have seen this tumor. The new vet said that this was really bothering him and to think this SO CALLED Dr. Hart was mis treating him and he was suffering all along. Also they have no consideration for your time, its nothing to wait an hour and a half or more (one time 2 hrs 15 minutes) and they dont even say anything and act as if you shouldnt have a problem waiting. I am so very sorry that I ever gave her any chances and I wouldnt if I were you

My beloved female Rottweiler was a gift from God. She was a Rescue and had been abused the first 6 yrs. of her life until she came to us. We only had the blessing of loving her and having her love us for a few years. In her last few months she would become sick with diarrhea and vomiting but recover quickly. We knew this was a bad sign, but wanted to give her the most of life that she could possibly get.
Then the time came when her spell didn't go away. It was late so we called Dr. Hart's office. She had not eaten or drank water (and she was a water drinking) dog for days. They quoted me prices to have her put to rest and gave me an ""APPOINTMENT"" to bring her in that night. She literally could not take a breath without going potty all over the place. We took her in and was given a bunch of options with additional prices attached to take care of her body. They never mentioned this on the phone!
As we sat in the parking lot discussing these options in the freezing cold (This was last Nov. of 2009) with her going potty everywhere, we made a decision. We took her back in the vet and as she is standing there literally shooting diarrhea on my fiance's pant leg (the assistant standing there mopping it up with a dirty mop) the vet comes out and tells us that she refuses to put her down because she wagged her tail and is showing too much enthusiasm. It would cost us at least $500.00 for testing and if we weren't willing to do that to take her home and mix boiled chicken and rice with Metamucil and feed it to her, we did, we took her to our vet the next day. She suffered an unnecessary extra nearly 24 hours just so our vet could put her at rest. I will never forgive that lady for that, or myself.

I have gone to this clinic 3 times. Twice with critically ill animals that needed to be put out of their pain and once with a female and her pups 1 day after birth. The care given for my critically ill animals was admirable but I wondered if it wasnt a bit premature with one of them no other option was considered by her even tho I had no clue why the kitten was so ill.
The female dog and her pups was another issue . The mom had a really high fever which Dr. Harts assistant was incapable of detecting...dunno...my thermometer was fine and so was the clinic I took her to right after seeing Dr Hart. The mom had a serious uterine infection which could have killed her and went untreated from Dr Hart. In addition, I had 12, 1 day old dehydrated pups due to the moms infection and inability to nurse and she made me wait in this critical situation for more than a half hour. Her assistant was given the chore of showing me how to feed the infants...it was a joke..she did not hold the pups or demonstrate anything just verbally described it unlike the next clinic which demonstrated on the pup how to tube feed and gave me the needed supplies and food and trained me on the spot to do it....big difference. I paid for the supplies which was fine...they were needed and the clinic was there to help....not Dr Hart

Dr, Hart's Emergency Pet Clinic is probably the best animal clinic around. I took my beloved Ringo there and everyone at the clinic including Dr. Hart took real good care of her. Dr. Hart and everyone never gave up hope on her and treated her like she was a queen. She passed away today from a immune disease and even though I miss my Ringo dearly, I knew she was in good hands with Dr. Hart and her staff.

I worked for Dr. Hart for many years. I was not a registered tech and helped in many surgerys. I did the best that I could in the years that I was emplyeed at the clinic. I saw many out dated meds beging used and administarted and perscribed. I know this was not the right thing to do but to secure my job and maintain employeement I was not able to say or report any of this information. I was there in the best intrest of the animals. The abiltiy of the Dr. was not up to par. This was not only my opinion but the opinion of may people. i.e. employees and clients.
Dr. Hart has many law suits pending and more to come. I whole heartly recommend you not take your beloved family member to this facility. I know this is not easy for people that are close to this clinic, but there are far more caring and passionta Vets that can help pet owners.
My best to future pet owners that have no choice put to take them to Dr. Harts and I feel sorry for you and your pets, THINK TWICE!!!!!

I, too, had a wonderful experience at Dr. Hart's clinic. I walked in and was greeted with a smile and was asked what my emergency was- my dog was taken back almost immediately. Dr. Hart came to talk to me and seemed very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions quickly. She took care of my dog overnight and made personal phone calls to me for updates. The place is full of informational brochures and pamphlets for pet owners. Thank you cards are displayed and there is a board of animals that Dr. Hart rescued and now up for adoption. Animals are just abandoned there by horrible people and she treats them out of her own pocket! Anyone who says she is not compassionate is wrong! I also checked around and she is the most reasonably priced clinic for emergencies around.

After reading all the bad reviews about Dr Hart I had to sign up just to give my opinion of her and her staff. My girlfriend found her after getting fed up with a vet that tried to wring every dollar out of her pocket. We (had) 4 dogs and Dr Hart has done surgery on 3 of them, taking off tumors. Two weeks ago our Shepherd had a stroke and died the next morning, and Dr Hart's staff, on a Sunday morning, was there for us, and showed nothing but compassion. Sure, you won't be able to eat off the floors of the clinic, but that's because she takes in the cats that people drop at her door. Look at her wall of thank you notes to see all the pet owners who are grateful for her services.

Our precious GSD was very sick last month (Dec '09). We did not want her to suffer, so we contacted the clinic so that they could come pick her up and we could say goodbye. The day we contacted them, a Monday, we were advised a vet was not working that day and to schedule the pick up for Tues. Our dog would be in pain another day. She passed later on Mon morning. I actually thought that this clinic was okay, obviously I was wrong. As the post said, Very disappointing.

My five year old beloved Golden Retriever passed away at home after giving birth to her litter. Since it was midnight, we were told to take her to Dr. Hart''s since they had freezers to keep her in overnight until we decided whether we wanted to bury her or have her cremated. This was during the winter, and upon arriving were told they had no freezer space. They suggested we leave her in the back of our truck overnight and allow the outside temperature to preserve her. What an inhumane way to treat a grieving family!!!

We took my 5 year old dog there and we thought she had congestive heart failure she had foam coming out of her mouth and could not breathe. They said she was getting old and she passed right there at the vet. We decided to have her cremated and they said ok while still giving an attitude they said we could pick the ashes up in a week. two weeks later no ashes they said they would be in the next shipment they had a horrible attitude and hung up on us. Two weeks later still no ashes we went down there and raised trouble only to find out our dog was in their freezer and they had never even sent her out. We had already paid and everything. We threatended action and we got the remains back withen 72 hours but you know there are always those questions. If you value your respect and respect for your pets do not ever take them here

I had a good experience with Dr Hart and I was very grateful that she was there to take care of my pet when he was dying and I was not at home. My regular vet was not available on a holiday weekend and told my friend to take him to an emergency clinic. Dr Hart took good care of him for 4 days till I could get there and was able to say goodbye. She was very kind and spoke with me a few times a day by phone. I couldn't let the other reviews go by without saying something good about Dr. Hart because my experience was not the same as theirs. I was charged a lot of money, but I checked around and that is what it costs, even more many places. The cost of vet care has really gone up in the last few yrs but I don't blame that on Dr Hart. She was also open 24 hrs a day in that office and that is not available elsewhere.

If you truly care for your pet; DON'T TAKE THEM TO DR. HART. Depending on her mood, your wallet, your skin tone and where your live; she'll determine just how much she wants to help you. Understandibly she has to maintain a business; but somewhere along the way she completely lost sight of her oath as a veterinarian, and forgeting that not only are these our pets but in a number of cases, our family and loved ones. Why would she accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of her professional knowledge and competence to do anything but judge you but the fullness of your wallet.
Dr. Hart, shame on you! Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine you solemnly swore to use your scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering, the conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge. You promised to practice your profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics. Of all people, she should understand suffering....after all she is in a wheelchair.
