The staff deserves 5-Stars hands down. I am a truck driver based out of IL and lost my glasses in transit. Because I am required to wear corrective lens my company would not allow me to take a truck until I secured replacement lens. They took me as a walk-in and completed the exam within an 1hr. Helped me pick out some great glasses and had me out the door and back driving in less than 2hrs. Thanks to the whole team at the Springfield location.

UPDATE: Dr. Mercer-Dasher was concerned by my review and contacted me herself about the problems I had when I went there last July. In addition to the customer service problems I had experienced at that time, I also had experienced issues with the glasses and sunglasses themselves (not correcting my vision completely/giving me headaches) which I did not have fixed due to my decision to never return. She saw me herself today at no additional cost and really put in a lot of effort to see what was wrong with my sunglasses and glasses. Apparently, some sort of production error in one of the sunglasses lenses (which was out of her control) was the problem and she is having my sunglasses redone for free and also ordering new lenses for my glasses which she will cut to fit my frames herself. Her amount of concern for my experience and her very professional way of handling it really turned my opinion around. Dr. Mercer-Dasher is a very caring woman whom I feel I can trust and will return to if my new eye insurance provider allows me to. She really knows her stuff and does the eye exams quickly and accurately, If only her entire staff were as pleasant as her, I might return to this office. However, the woman who handles the main transactions such as picking out frames, working with your insurance and determining your total bill, is ABSOLUTELY the most RUDE person I have ever been forced to deal with in my entire life. I mean, wow. I meant to ask her name but I was so overcome with absolute hatred I completely forgot to ask. I have been treated badly by customer service reps before that have obviously just had a bad day or are tired and I totally understand that because I've been there. But this woman was on a war path or something. When calculating my total costs, she responded to my questions of how much the added "extras" she insisted I pay for actually cost, she raised her hand at me without saying a word. When I asked an honest question about what my insurance was covering, she sighed and asked me if I had "remembered the total she told me before" in the most demeaning and rude tone I have ever heard. Then, when she was finished with silently calculating my bill (for which I DID have a budget-- clearly not her concern), I asked her what my total was and she just told me she wouldn't tell me. Literally just said no I will not tell you how much this is and I will not work with you to lower any costs if you need to. I couldn't believe it. She was the most cold, rude, intolerable excuse for a customer service rep I have ever met. I would love to go back to this place because all other aspects of this office are wonderful, but THAT WOMAN is the one reason I will never go back. Beware the woman who handles your money, because she doesn't care about your budget.
