I brought my bike in because it had a problem with the gas leaking out if I left the tank valve open and there was a recessed hex bolt that holds the air cleaner backplate on that I was unable to remove because it was stripped. They told me that they replaced the needle in the carb, but two weeks later it was leaking and when I pulled the air cleaner the stripped bolt head was still where it had been, so I have to question whether they really pulled the carb (the owner assures me they did) or not and why, if they did, they didn't replace the bolt with the stripped recessed hex fitting. It also came back with a broken choke cable dangling and unable to attach in its bracket. Caveat emptor- buyer beware. I've called them about it and they've offered to make it right, but we'll have to see how that turns out.
This place came highly recommended by a friend so I decided to go there for a repair. Thankful I was not in a rush to get my motorcycle fixed, but it took them over 1 week to even look at it after a few calls. They did do a good job fixing my bike and was priced fairly. The thing that got me fired up though is when I drove home I realized my license plate was missing and the bolt holding my rear shock in place was missing. I could have gotten in a bad accident because of that bolt missing. Thankfully nothing bad came of it. I called them back and it took them over an hour to find my license plate. This time I drove my car back to pick it up and they could not locate the missing bolt. The mechanic said he would be over in 2 hours to replace the bolt and gave me a free t-shirt because I could have gotten in a bad accident. (Risking my life for a t-shirt, fair value in their eyes I guess.) Then an hour after he was supposed to arrive they called and said it would be a few more hours. They never showed until the next morning and put the wrong sized bolt in the shock. There are 5 different sized washers and one nut to fill in the space cause the bolt it too long. Now I am spending more money to order the correct bolt and washer online and doing it myself. I will never go back to this place and feel terrible writing this review but it really got me mad that I had to pay full price for a crap job and a lot of unneeded stress.
THIS IS THE BEST BIKE SHOP I HAVE EVER GONE TO. THEY HAVE AN ONLINE EBAY STORE CALLED TOTALBIKER_INC...THERE I MANAGED TO SAVE ALMOST $200 ON A BRAND NEW SET OF VANCE AND HINES TRUE DUALS FOR MY 2008 ULTRA CLASSIC. THEY ARE VERY PERSONABLE AND IF YOU GIVE THEM A PART NUMBER AND A PRICE FROM ANOTHER STORE THEY WILL BEAT IT WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED. THEY CARRY A LOT OF RINEHART AND VANCE AND HINES PRODUCTS. ALSO THEY SERVICED AND INSPECTED MY BIKE. THESE GUYS ARE GOOD! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
