My husband and I have had many meals at this restaurant over the years. Like other reviewers have remarked, this restaurant is showing its age, and the food used to be a bit better. However, we still enjoy going because they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there is something on the menu for everyone. We especially like their soup and sandwich specials at lunch, and they have great pie.
Took a woman friend and was sorry I did. The food and service was pretty good, but there was a group of men nearby. They were so loud I couldn't believe it, and it went on and on with one man in particular being unbelievably loud. I asked the waitress if she could ask them to be quitter, she leaned over and said the loudest one was the OWNER!
We have really enjoyed the food at Sweet Tomatoes. The food is always fresh and the creative salad options rotate to keep things interesting. We love to take our 2 year old here so he can pick from lots of different bite sized veggies to enjoy for dinner. The staff are friendly, helpful and know how to make life at a restaurant easier with a toddler. The only thing they could do to make this place better (which is why it's 4 stars instead of 5) is to switch to using organic produce on the salad bar. Also! Make sure you google "Sweet Tomatoes Coupons" before you go or subscribe to their newsletter on their website to get new coupons sent to you each month.
This is a well-run family restraunt with good food at moderate prices. It must be a great place to work, too, as we have seen the same friendly employees there year after year. You will enjoy the atmosphere.
