I had a feeling Dr. Ron Earp was incompetent with regard to many things (diagnosis of internal problems, when to order xrays and other tests, and performing simple palpative exams), but I and my family decided to trust him. Trust my dog's life with him. After 8 months, when my dog died, I discussed my dog's case with 3 other veterinarians, and each was absolutely shocked and dismayed by Dr. Earp's course of medical mis-care. Each stated they would have (1) done a simple abdominal xray 8 months before, and done an xray every couple months thereafter, and (2) done a simple rectal exam 8 months before, and many thereafter. Dr. Earp was confronted with this, and reacted with hostility, became highly defensive, and to my shock exhibited a highly unprofessional and immature way of responding, including ranting voicemails, a threatening certified letter, and a fradulent report to the Beaverton Police Department with Officer White, alleging that he was being harassed, that his office was being harassed, that I was making "multiple personal visits" to his office, "multiple personal phone calls", etc, all of which are false. Dr. Earp is a criminal in my opinion. An abusive, negligent veterinarian, a highly dishonest person, immensely incompetent, and lurking behind his false exterior is a devious businessman who conducts his medical care with the goal of gaining maximal clientele, namely by minimizing ordering expensive tests (xrays etc) thereby making many clients happy because of the lack of expense. He also often prescribes medicine over the phone without asking for an exam, which is a violation of the Veterinary Practice Act. Dr. Earp has been reported to and investigated by the Oregon Board Of Veterinary Medicine http://www.oregon.gov/OVMEB/
