Closest to New York Style Chinese food in Beaverton. Everything is delicious and hot and the service can be hit or miss. You must try their Egg Foo Yong and their Shrimp Lo Mein. They are my favorites. They also make great spare ribs. They also offer the best Dim Sum around! Try it all. You won't regret it!

Great Chinese food for a great price. And the staff have been super friendly every time we've gone in there. Definitely the place I recommend when it comes to Chinese food in Beaverton.
Called in my order at 6:20 p.m. asked how long (because I tried to order from them last Friday and the wait was over 40 minutes). The first person said no problem should be about 10-15 minutes, he put me on hold then a second guy got on the phone and took my order, he had a different story, 25 minutes, umm OK. When we arrived 25 minutes later they had not even started our order (2 tables in the restaurant were occupied). I guess they don't start the cooking till you pay first and they see the whites of your eyes. IT FEELS LIKE A BAIT AND SWITCH. Once you pay you are now stuck being held hostage till they finally get your order to you. In our case it was a 45 minute wait, our food was ready at 7:05 p.m. There must be new owners or something because I have been eating here on and off for about 15 years now and I have never seen anything like the disorganization going on at this Restaurant. The dude at the desk seemed clueless as hell.To say the least we will never be back, your food just is not that good. I will stick with my old tried and true favorite Stir Crazy Kitchen who is fast and their food is always excellent.
I have not had a bad meal from this place yet. Orange chicken, crispy chicken with hot garlic sauce, mongolian chicken, mongolian beef and the green beans have all been excellent. Lunch specials are large enough for 2 servings
The food was delicious but the restaurant lacks in style, cleanliness, and common customer service.. I had two different workers roll their eyes at me when I simply requested teriyaki sauce..
The food was very bland from the fried rice that was not fried to the chow mien. My husband is allergic to sea food and directed the waiter to leave the shrimp off, yet it was on his plate. Not what I would call "Chinese".
To begin with, it is dirty inside and you have to go a long way downstairs to get to a cold dirty and hideous bathroom.. I ordered fried shrimp which when it Finally came ( took a nap while waiting) they were ice cold. I asked for a fresh hot order and eventually, what I got back was the same shrimp re fried and disgustingly greasy. NAST Y . The egg rolls were hot but mushy and pasty inside. NOT GOOD. You can take a chance if you are feeling lucky............. or....not.
Ive been going to China Bay for many many years. I usually have enjoyed the food and the service and brought many many friends to eat there. I must say the quality of the food has gone down. I recently ordered the Egg Foo Yong and it was terrible, it was spongy and tasteless and the gravy was also bad, the worst ive ever had( and Ive had alot) When I told the manager it was not good, he became defensive and got a very stern and negative attitude. He forced me to order something else from the menu. He said pick something, you can have anything. So I ordered another dish thinking he would make it complentary, but no, he charged me for it and with a very negative attitude. I wont go there again. G-d forbid you should 'Insult' their food. Heaven help you !!
We have to give this restaurant our enthusiastic support . We moved here from the San Francisco bay area and were spoiled by inexpensive great chinese food. We were happy not only to find a chinese restaurant close to us, but one that is as good if not better than what we had in SF. We also have been to China and had authentic chinese food. The House of Good Fortune is better!
