Overall
Never will go again... an honest assertion

Great club for young first-timers.... They play country for 5 songs straight (hmm it's called the DIXIE club) then they mix the Hip-Hop in... It's funny to see a dance floor empty then when the hip-hop comes on the floor gets packed. Wednesday nights is free for ladies, so lots of college grils go that night..hahaha

I personally will never go back again.... They do this "Black" dress-code thing that is really disturbing....but like some clubs in the South, it is accepted.... So if your Black please come with extra clothing so you can atleast ask what is appropriate and change in the car.

Then when you get in wait awhile to buy a drink because they may kick you out and say the "Manager" said so... I've personally seen them say no shorts to Blacks and 10-15 White boys walk in and out without questioning.... It's disgusting to be a grown man and have security guards hound you to tuck in your shirt as you look around at the white boys with shirts out...

Sound's like I've a bad experience?? Count three different times... not including the times I was just on crockett street and witnessed it. Ask anybody from Beaumont and they will tell you, "That must have happened at Dixie's." So, I personally stay a way and will actively encourage others black and white to do so also... institutionalized racism is what it's called

No use in making a fuss because the owner's are a group of lawyers..... This is Beaumont's prime club area and they want to keep a clean enviroment so there logic is to keep some of the "Dirty and unruly" blacks out while monitoring the rest.... Classic southern behavior....

This my honest assertion and I have tried to give Dixie's a chance but will no longer after the last time I went in a blazer, collared shirt, slacks and black sole shoes and was asked to leave after ten minutes... Mind you, I had to change clothes because the first time I went "my pants were too baggy".... If your Black, you know that's southern code for institutionalized racism.
